The Technician's Fight, An Introduction
Added 2025-06-19 13:00:03 +0000 UTCJeremy, Book 2, an Introduction. This is, obviously, book 2 in the Jeremy series. When I think up a title, this will be updated. Same if I
This is book 2 in the "A Heart's Life" series(used to be Jeremy Series).
This book is definitely science fiction/thriller-ish. Someone will need to stretch things a whole lot to see ‘romance’ in it. There is still plenty of relationship stuff, but that is very different to me.
I don’t know if this needs to be a trigger, but there will be elements of open relationships starting in this book. It’s not a story about open relationships, but as establish in book 1, Kelsirians don’t see families the way we do.
As with the previous book, it will be posted to my top tier first, then trickle down on tier each week. The first 2 will be public, the first 5 available to any followers.
The series centers on a male/male, human to alien relationship. The ‘official’ chapters will not contain explicit sex, but will probably include descriptive nudity.
The series will follow Jeremy and Gralgiran’sel’helrarvnir as they meet, get to know each other, and deal with the consequences of their relationship as they get tangled into more than romance.
Book 2 follows Jeremy and Gralgiran as they continue to deal with the ramifications of the previous book, the Earthers continued attempt to repatriate Jeremy, internal politicking within the Kelsirian Leadership as it impact the Bane and its captain and the evolving of Jeremy and Gralgiran’s relationship as they both make decisions that impacts other around them.
The way I remember things, this book adapts and expands the first half of what is book 2 of the draft 0. I don’t remember an ‘active’ decision to cut it into 2, just that as we worked on it, it became obvious there was a lot of stuff hinted at between written chapters of draft 0. And my co-scripter had a lot of great ideas for how to use those implied events. A large section in the middle/later part of the book exists entirely because of his ideas.
One antagonistic relationship is completely his fault, and I love it.
As with the previous book, I’m going to follow the outline, which stands at 39 chapters, but not limit myself to it. I don’t know how many chapters will be added, but there will be some. Book 1 went from an outline of 48 chapters to a book of 111 chapters.
So, that’s it for the introduction. As always, if you have opinions or comments. Write them. I love knowing what you think of what I write.
