🌟 Patreon Champions League 2024/25

Thank you to all of you who entered your FPL teams into your Patreon mini league ahead of Gameweek 1. By doing so you have been automatically entered into the Patreon Champions League competition.

And as UEFA have rebranded, we have decided to do so too...

394 teams will enter the competition, which is every team entered into the Advanced, Intermediate+, Basic+ or Correspondent mini leagues, and you will all enter one league, playing a total of 20 fixtures

The top 128 finishers will stay in the competition with the chance of winning the winner-takes-all £100 prize.

But that's not all because whilst those who fall short in the UEFA Champions League face elimination from Europe altogether now, we will be introducing a Europa League competition for those finishing in positions 128-256 with £25 awarded to the winner of The Patreon Europa League.

Playoff Round: GWs 26-27
Last 64: GWs 28-29
Last 32: GWs 30-31
Last 16: GWs 32-33
Quarter Finals: GWs 34-35
Semi Finals: GWs 36-37
Finals: GW38

And here's a breakdown of what will happen to league finishers in the Group Stage:
1-32: Enter Last 64 of Champions League
33-64: Enter Champions League Playoff
65-128: Enter Champions League Playoff Qualifying Round
129-160: Enter Last 64 of Europa League
161-192: Enter Europa League Playoff
193-256: Enter Europa League Playoff Qualifying Round
257-394: Eliminated

In the PlayOff and Qualifying PlayOffs the Top seed will play the bottom seed.
For example, in the Champions League Playoff Round the team who finished 33rd (top seed) will play whoever is the lowest ranked team left in the competition.
From the Last 64 Stage the top seed (1st) will play whoever is the lowest ranked team left in the competition and the path to the final will be mapped out from this stage for all of the final 64.

Rules:
There are no restrictions in play. Each week, you will score whatever your net score is in FPL. So if your team gets 60 points but you've taken a -8, your score for the week will be 52 points.

In the Group Stage, it's 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.

Criteria for progression in the event of two or more teams finishing level on points in the Group Stage:

1: FPL points difference in all group matches
2: FPL points scored in all Group matches
3: FPL points scored in final Group Stage match
4: Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams
5: FPL points difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams
6: Least FPL points hits during the Group Stage
7: Goals scored by FPL players owned in all Group matches
8: Clean sheets by FPL players in all Group matches

In the knockout stages, ties will be played over 2 legs (home & away), except for the final, which will be played in GW38. In the event that scores are level the team with the higher Group Stage placing will advance.

Very special shout out to Rob Chetty (@Rob on Slack) for his assistance in both setting up the spreadsheet for the competition - and no doubt maintaining it - over the coming weeks.

Rob has used some wizardry technology that I wouldn't understand to forumalte the Group Stage fixtures. This has been verified by absolutely no one other than Rob, so if you think you've got tough fixtures that's his fault. Some of you may have been lucky enough to draw a -56 team! Some of you will get beat by my wife!
