James (and Pep) are spot on about the pressures at Barca v City. The way to think about it is that there are very few journalists whose specific job it is to dig up stories about City each day. The Athletic will have one, and the local paper will have one, but that's about it. Most of the national newspapers only have people who cover Manchester as a whole, and some of them will focus more on United. Whereas there will be loads of journalists who concentrate on Barca 24/7, even including some from Madrid outlets (because Barca are their main enemy).
