And back! Glad I've been of encouragement lately. Hmm, starting off with some heavy dialogue! It's heartbreaking. Mera is frightened, the place waiting for an opportunity to exploit her powers, just as the rest of the "prisoners" I'm quite scared for all three of them, Mera's turn, her hair shrouding her pale face of worry. It's her way of surviving. Sheru listens intently, not a word as Mera explains the dire situation, sort of melting away a bit at his previous confidence.
I adore Sheru from a long while now through your stories, and there's something particulary heartwarming of Mera knowing exactly how Sheru is as a character. He's a kind soul who sees levity in anything, along with his sister - both endure a lot with a smile. Mera sees this, and is not only frightened for herself, but for Sheru and others like him. I empathize strongly with Mera, and I believe Sheru does too.
There's something to Sheru's mannerisms here, playful and calm in posture and words, all with a complete stranger. However, at the last panel he shows intense concern, eyes wide and hair still. A feeling when something is wrong, something... that he can help fix. I do wonder what happens next ^_^ Thanks for the great work, SickRogue, RoseAnn and IronyFerrum. You're accomplishing so much together <3
