Motorcycle people are dumb

Motorcycle people are dumb

The three 'types of fun’ resonate so much. Type ‘3’ gets waaay too much credit. ‘That event was so much fun!’ ‘Was it really?!’ ‘Oh no, I hated every minute of it...'

Reminds me of riding in the New Jersey Pine Barrens but with less tight turns, more hills, and way better views. Prior to owning my Norden I was dumb enough to hit the Pine barrens on my Tiger Explorer - probably 600 pounds of bike + my fat ass + gear. That deep sand is stressful, but on both bikes there were times when it was an absolute blast. When you have the energy and decent form you absolutely can maneuver big bikes into some ridiculous adventures. Hitting whoops on a bike that size is especially memorable. Sand goes everywhere. I have fallen off probably a dozen times, mostly off-road. The Tiger sent me over the bars in the pine barrens 4 or 5 years ago. Has this taught me anything? Well, just last month I hit a pothole on a dirt road so hard that both my forks blew out and my airbag vest thought I crashed, so I guess that makes me a member of the 🫛🫛🫛squad. See you at the ER🫡 Story time aside - Your buddy's intuition about the tires is correct. TKC 80s are the reigning champ for heavy ADV bikes doing true off road, but my friends and I really like the AX41 Battle-ax, which is almost as good and also very sticky on asphalt but wears a little quick. Mitas E0-7s are also a solid choice for mixed use, and last forever, but are a little sketchier due to the hard compound.

I also love motorcycles, despite not being very good at it. This video does a great job of showing what it's like for what I assume is the majority of riders, especially ones who don't have dedicated dirt bikes like those KTMs. Motorcycles are great at delivering all 3 types of fun. I hadn't heard of that categorization before but I'm using it!

Somehow you manage to make me laugh every time I watch one of your videos. :) I think thats because there is always something in it thats relatable and you have a sort of dry sense of humor way of taking the piss out of yourself :) Nice work.

I love motorcycles. I have done a lot of riding in that area. Very relatable video for me, including the scratched insta360. Good description of what it's like to mix between sitting and standing. I might do this ride when I'm older and not up for the d38, 37, and 36 races. And when I have a dual sport.

My buddy and I did this ride several years ago. Can't wait to see how you liked it!

Well, it looked fun … I’ll just stand here on the sidelines and have fun looking.
