Unfortunately, the city in which I lived for the last 16 years was one of the first to be shelled. At half past five in the morning on February 24, I woke up from rocket explosions and within an hour I left the city in my car. We had a premonition of this war, as the situation had worsened in recent months and I knew that Russia was an aggressor country and Putin's speeches sounded like the speeches of Hitler and Goebbels. What does it mean the war is coming. So I had cash and a full tank of gas. My wife and I left and took more friends with a dog. I have a hatchback so there wasn't much space in the car and I was able to take a few things but there was a lot left over including my painting materials. A few days later we were at the other end of Ukraine in the city of Lviv. I am relatively safe now. There are no battles here, but a siren sounds periodically and it happens that rockets arrive, but fortunately rarely.
I haven't held a brush in my hand for over a month now. That's why I can't draw new pictures right now, for now. I plan to start painting again but it's not easy. It is not easy morally and it is costly financially. But I hope that in the near future I will be able to organize a workflow for myself and be able to show it here.
