The last thing you remembered was kissing Taehyung and Jimin.

The rest of the night, including how you got to your bed, was a bit of a blurr. You were disappointed to find yourself alone in your big bed and dark room, the almost full moon peeking through the glass doors that lead to your private balcony.

Sitting up and reaching for your phone you found no notifications, and the clock was marking three am. All of the tiredness seemed to have left you and there was no way you could go back to sleep now, especially not when you remembered your anxieties from the night before.

Yoongi.

You didn’t think you saw him before being tucked in for a nap that grew too long, and you couldn’t stop your beating heart and overactive mind from making your anxiety grow again. Before you could convince yourself that it was a bad idea, you left your bedroom and walked down the two flights of stairs that separated your floor from the basement level.

Living in a house full of werewolves, you knew there was no way they wouldn’t listen to you walking around, but all of their doors remained closed and you could almost hear Hoseok’s soft snores behind his.

Yoongi always let you into his bedroom, he used to say you were the only one who didn’t need permission to, so you took it to heart as you opened his door as quietly as you could, in hopes of not disturbing him. All you wanted to do was make sure he was home, that he was okay. You’d just take a little look and go back up to your bedroom.

But those plans changed when you saw him.

The man was laying on his bed, asleep, with his back facing the door. You couldn’t see much, the little of the moonlight filtering through the small square windows close to the ceiling weren’t enough, but you could smell his distinctive grapefruit and guaiac wood scent.

Your anxiety melted away instantly as you made sure he was okay and safe, he was home. But instead of leaving him, your body had other ideas as you got pulled to him, as if an invisible string was tightening, making you climb onto his bed as quietly as you possibly could.

You slipped under the covers, pleased to be met with his naked back as you pressed your body against it, a sneaky arm circling his torso as you hugged his back. Yoongi stirred and hummed, but otherwise continued to sleep. Your own eyes were closed as your lips found his shoulder and you kissed a soft, wet trail towards his neck. You licked the soft patch of skin where neck and shoulder met, always finding that spot to taste the sweeter on the seven wolves.

The familiar haze was coming back, but this time you held onto reality, you fought to stay afloat and not drown into the fog that was trying its best to drag you under.

“Mhm, sweetheart…”

Yoongi’s voice was horace from sleep as he called to you, half asleep.

“‘m here, Yoon.” you told him with a little whimper, hands tightening on his sides as you kissed and sucked on his neck and nosed his long, white hair. “Missed you.”

“Can see that.” his chuckle was raspy and deep as he pried your hands off of him so he could turn around and face you. “Been told you were worried about me.”

“Hmm.”

You nodded, snuggling into his hard chest, being engulfed by his warmth. Yoongi wrapped you with his arms and you started kissing him again; starting with his collarbones, taking little bites and nibbles that were making him purr with delight.

“You can’t leave me for too long.” you whined with a pout, slipping a leg between his to be even closer. “None of you can.”

Yoongi chuckled again, kissing your head and inhaling deeply. “Aren’t you a greedy little wolf?”

Hearing that made your heart go crazy in your chest. You so wished you could be a wolf, it would make things much more simple for your poor heart. You could truly belong to the Bangtan pack, you could belong to all of them.

But for tonight you would pretend.

“Yes.” you mewled, moving up on the bed just a little more so you could share his pillow. “Want my alpha so bad.”

“I’m here, baby. Take what you want.”

Yoongi had never seen you acting like this, so needy and eager. His wolf was absolutely living for it, purring and growling inside his head, begging him to claim you already. And he wanted nothing more than to do just that; to sink his teeth on your sweet neck, in the rightful spot that should belong to him. The same spot you had been kissing since you slipped into his bed and woke him up from his dreams of you.

Your face leaned closer to his until your noses bumped together. He could smell the mint in your breath and the sakura on your skin, as well as the slight notes of cocoa powder and brown sugar he knew belonged to Taehyung and Jimin.

All thoughts of his pack members went away when your soft lips touched his; slightly hesitant at first, but growing bolder as his hands held onto your sides tightly. Yoongi wanted to let you dictate the pace, show him how you wanted him, but you were taking too long, moving too slow for his liking.

And Yoongi had wanted to kiss you for months now, ever since he walked into Moonlight for the first time.

The wolf licked between your lips, smirking from how easily you parted them for him. He licked into your mouth, tongue licking yours as your lips moved in tandem. Your hands slipped into his hair and Yoongi groaned, flipping you on the bed so you were under him.

The way your legs parted for him to lay between them made his chest expand with pride and his wolf to practically howl inside his mind. Lucky for him, you couldn’t hear it or he would have been as pink as your swollen lips.

Yoongi’s mouth parted from yours to kiss down your jaw and continue down your throat, until he completely froze.

“What–”

Yoongi was moving off of you so quickly you were scared you might have done something wrong. The way he scrambled to the lamp on his bedside table had you ready to apologize.

The room was engulfed by a warm orange hue as the lamp was turned on and you closed your eyes from the sudden brightness.

“Hm. I see you had some fun as I was out, huh?” Yoongi’s fingertips touched the side of your neck and you understood what had surprised him so much. “Who left that pretty mark there?”

You touched your neck, unsure your hand was enough to cover the hickey, when you meekly said: “Well, uh. Joon did it first.”

“Oh?”

“Then Tae and Jimin made it bigger.”

“I see.”

Yoongi sat in front of you, lost in his own thoughts that you whished you could listen to, and you watched him. When your eyes finally got used to the new clarity, you looked at Yoongi’s naked top half.

He wasn’t as ripped as Jungkook, but his shoulders were still wide, his arms were strong and his chest was thick. You had no idea the wolf hid such a lean body under his oversized clothes.

“I have no excuse for Joon, but Tae and Jimin only did it because they were trying to distract me.” it wasn’t a very good justification, but it was the only one you had.

“Is that so?” Yoongi cocked his head, studying you under his sharp gaze. “Distracting you from what, may I ask?”

“From worrying about you.”

That seemed to soften Yoongi’s features as he touched the side of your face, thumb pulling your bottom lip down slightly.

“You were really that worried about me?”

You only nodded at his question, because you had no further explanation as to why you worried so much, why you missed him like a part of you was too far away. You wondered if you were ready to pick Yoongi amongst the pack members, but as much as part of you seemed to be happy about that thought, the other part –a more selfish and greedy part– didn’t want to make a choice at all.

When you thought about any of the other boys being away from you for too long, you started feeling antsy and anxious. It was very annoying for your independent self to feel such a need to be close to them and you couldn’t chuck it to pack mentality because you weren’t even a wolf.

You blamed it on the fact that maybe you were lonely. You didn’t have many friends before, but you still saw people regularly, you had your customers at Moonlight, you saw Miss Narae and the boys who did stock delivery each week.

As much as you went into town every now and then, you didn’t really interact with anyone but the boys.

“I’m sorry I worried you, sweetheart.” Yoongi pulled you out of your own thoughts and scooted closer to you on his bed. “I met with some old friends from Seoul after grocery shopping and lost track of time.”

“It’s okay.” you smiled at him, happy he got to spend time with his friends even if you couldn’t. “Did they bring you those things?”

You nodded to the few shopping bags at the corner of his room; all from stores and brands you knew couldn’t be found in the small town of Dalju.

“Clever girl.” Yoongi booped your nose with his pointer finger and you felt your cheeks warm. “But they are not for me.”

“No?”

“Hm. I thought you might want clothes of your own, even if you do look cute wearing pack’s things.”

Surprisingly, it only took almost two months for you to go from a night owl to a morning person. Ever since you started living with the pack, you forced yourself to go back to a regular sleeping schedule and now you were able to wake up in the mornings and go to sleep at a reasonable hour; that is, when you didn’t slip into a wolf’s bed in the middle of the night.

It was definitely weird to not be working for this long, living at the expense of the boys, but none of them seemed to mind. You told yourself this was temporary, you didn’t know when you’d be sent back to Seoul after the Southside wolves lost interest in you. It’s not like you knew what the seven men did for a living either and it wasn’t your place to pry.

More likely than not, they would tell you it’s pack business, and that’s how you knew you weren’t supposed to know something.

But you did your best to pull your weight around, helping out in any way you could to contribute with life in the house. Seokjin was allowing you to help him cook more often, Jungkook would sometimes let you help with the laundry, you assisted Hoseok make sure things were in the right spot. You were by no means a house-wife, but you did enjoy taking care of them as much as they took care of you.

You had decided to get up early and cook breakfast for everybody, hoping to reach the kitchen before the eldest of the pack, only when you made it downstairs, Seokjin was the first wolf you ran into.

“You’re looking very pretty today, doe.” the man said, as if he didn’t look drop dead gorgeous in a simple denim and t-shirt look, cozy as ever in a white knitted cardigan. “New clothes?”

“Morning, Jinnie!” you walked to him in the second living room, instead of continuing towards the kitchen. You were wearing a simple checkered skirt and a mustard colored, long sleeve shirt, but it was a change from the little clothes the younger boys managed to save from your apartment, and definitely an improvement from the baggy clothes the men gifted you. “Do you like it? Yoongi got them for me!”

“Very nice.” Jin smiled at you sweetly, getting up from the chair he was sitting in and you really wished he was coming to hug you. “Are you hungry? I have to leave, but I can make you something.”

“Oh, where are you going?” you held onto his forearm, feeling how his muscles flexed under your touch.

Jin chuckled and stopped in front of you, towering over your small human frame. His hand brushed the side of your face and you couldn’t help but lean into his touch.

“Just going into town, there’s something I need to pick up.” he told you and you nodded, hold tightening in his arm ever so slightly. “Would you like to come with me?”

“Can I?!”

“Of course, little doe. Let’s get you in a coat.”

Jin slipped his hand into yours and you both walked to the entrance of the house, where your shoes were stored neatly on a wooden rack. Above it, there were hangers for outdoor clothes and one of the men always forgot to put away some of their coats, which meant free reign for you. As much as your pink teddy coat was still there, you chose a black hoodie instead, the ocean scent telling you it belonged to the maknae.

“Are you sure it’s okay if we go? You won’t miss the others too much?” Jin asked as you were leaving the house, after dressing warmly and putting your shoes on.

You knew he was teasing you about your little moment yesterday and how you missed Yoongi because he was away, but you still answered him seriously. “I know where everyone is, and they are safe, so it’s fine. I don’t like not knowing where you are.”

“I see.”

“God, that makes me sound so clingy doesn’t it?” you groaned, as if finally hearing yourself. “I don’t know where all this is coming from.”

“You don’t sound clingy, you sound like a wolf.”

“I wish.”

Seokjin unlocked his car with the press of a button on his remote control, opening the door for you like the perfect gentleman and rounded the vehicle to sit next to you, behind the wheel. As he fixed the mirrors and the legroom on the driver’s seat, you put your seatbelts on and relaxed into the seat. You didn’t know if the grapefruit and guaiac wood you were smelling was on your skin or if it meant Yoongi had driven this same car into town yesterday.

“Do you really?” Seokjin asked you as he drove off, the sound of tires on gravel almost masking his soft voice. “Do you wish you were a wolf?”

“Of course I do.” you nodded, turning to him a little more. “You guys are super fast, you hear better, see better, apparently you heal fast too, since I have seen kook’s thigh and there’s not a single scratch where the gash he got that night used to be.” and you desperately wanted to be an actual member of the Bangtan pack. “And I’m really jealous of your mind communication thing. What’s not to wish for?”

Seokjin’s laugh was better than any song that could play on the radio. “We do have plenty of perks, and if you talk to most wolves they will tell you we are better built than humans. You’re so fragile.”

“Tell me about it.” you looked at your knee with a roll of your eyes, finger running over the small band-aid covering the scratch you got yesterday.

“But we also have downsides, not everything is positive.” Seokjin continued. “A young wolf goes through a lot of pain to learn how to turn back and forth on their own, you know? It takes a lot out of you mentally and physically.”

“You do it so effortlessly.”

“We have years of practice, little doe. And it helps that almost all of us grew up with our familial packs, so we had good people guiding us. Not everyone has that. Not to mention being in a pack is not always easy.”

“How come?”

You were listening to the man, breathing in his every word, but as soon as you left the forest trail and got on the main road, you looked ahead. The views were absolutely gorgeous; you could see the mountains colored with autumn shades of orange, yellow and red. The asphalt road was glistening with the rain that had still fallen this morning, but the sky was starting to go blue again.

“Being part of a pack, and being bonded– do you know what a bond is?”

“Yes, Joonie explained it to me yesterday.”

“Good. Well. The bond sounds good on paper and in many ways it is, we can communicate better, we are in tune with each other, we are more sensitive to what the other is feeling. But we don’t always feel good, do we?”

“I guess not…”

“We feel each other's fears and we feel each other's pain. It takes a really long time for us to learn how to tune it down and control it. One of us is still very affected by it.” Jin was telling you and you had no idea the bond was so strong.

“Jungkook?” you asked, since he was the youngest. But Seokjin surprised you when he shook his head.

“Jimin feels things too greatly. He’s the most affectionate of all of us, his energy is loving and sweet.” the elder spoke fondly of his packmate and the mere thought of Jimin’s sweet smile made you miss him. “But he’s been better ever since you arrived. We joke he doesn’t need to behave like an omega anymore, since we have you.”

That comment brought a heat to your cheeks and you sunk into the seat, pulling your hoodie up in an attempt to hide your face, but it only made you inhale Jungkook’s scent harder. Now you missed him too.

“I’m glad I can help. Still, I like the idea of being in a pack.”

“It is really good. It’s part of our nature to need that support system, wolves are social creatures, you know?” Jin continued and you nodded. “We can live on our own for a while, some try to do it forever, but it's a miserable life. You’re constantly moving, restless, looking for something new in hopes of feeling fulfilled. It’s like there’s an itch you can never scratch.”

“Why do people even try to live without a pack?” your forehead creased.

“Being part of a pack, depending on the pack, it’s easy to lose your individuality. If your pack’s mentality is hierarchical, or everyone needs to live as one, then you’re all the same. Again, there are two sides of the same coin; some really like that, it takes the pressure off, everyone has their spot and responsibilities within the pack. But you kinda become mindless.”

Something in the way Seokjin spoke, with a hint of melancholy, made your heart clench for him. You asked:

“Was that the case for you?”

“Mhm. I was born as the son of a pack-alpha father, and pack-omega mother. My hyung is a beta, so the role of pack leader would have fallen onto me.” he told you and you turned to the side to watch him instead of the views outside the moving car. “I was raised for it, trained and prepared to challenge my father for leadership. But it was never something I wanted. I don’t mind being an adviser, but I knew I couldn’t keep the pack running the way my father did.”

“How did you leave?”

“Hoseok convinced me to.” he chuckled and you smiled. “Our familial packs were close and he always insisted I could join his. But we met Yoongi and Joonah before I had the chance to and we joined them instead.”

You were silent as if you were lost in your own thoughts and Seokjin mirrored you. There was more he wanted to tell you, more he wanted to explain. Like the fact young pups generally clinged to their pack members and could get restless when one of them wasn’t around. How it was common for omegas of all ages to worry for the wellbeing and safety of the pack and how your recent neediness could be explained by that if you were a wolf.

But you weren’t, so there was absolutely no explanation for you.

He had wondered if you could be a wolf without knowing, maybe you just hadn’t awakened yet, but it didn’t work like that. You didn’t have an inner wolf, you weren't as quick as them, you didn’t heal like they did; he could still smell the faint scent of blood on your scraped knee. And there was no way you could have lived this long without turning into a wolf, you would have gone mad by now.

Jin even wondered if you were adopted, maybe you had some wolf blood in you. But there was no such thing as half a wolf.

The rest of the drive into town was comfortably quiet, his inner wolf was very happy about being alone with you, and in such an enclosed space that made your scent hit him harder; even if it was masked with Yoongi and Jungkook’s scents. But, at this point, Jin was starting to live with the fact he could smell his packmates on you most of the time.

“This bakery is really good. Are you hungry?”

You heard the man ask as he parked the car in front of a pretty bakery with orange bunting and big pumpkins lining up the windowsills. You were nodding as the two of you left the car and Jin waited for you to join him on the sidewalk, offering his hand for you to hold.

That’s how you walked into the quaint bakery and how you waited in the line to order. The bakery reminded you of Moonlight a little bit, which brought a pang of sadness and missing your old life. The familiar smell of coffee beans and pastries also awoke the hunger inside you and you hoped Seokjin couldn’t hear your stomach growling.

If he did, he didn’t mention it.

The two of you chose drinks and foods –a croissant each, coffee for him and a hot chocolate for you– and ordered it to go and it was a shame you had to let go of his hand in order to eat. But it wasn’t always that you came into town, mostly staying in the Bangtan house up in the mountains, so you wanted to take advantage of it being a nice day out and walk around.

Dalju was really small, like the kind of town you saw in movies and everybody knew everybody, but mostly kept to themselves. Once or twice Seokjin would bow to someone or be waved at, but he didn’t stay and chat with anybody.

“Are you adopted?” Seokjin asked you and you frowned, pausing midway into bringing the last piece of croissant into your mouth.

“That’s a random question.” you giggled and shook your head. After chewing the last of your breakfast, you told him: “No. I look too much like my father and I’ve seen my birth photos. Why do you ask?”

“Just making conversation.” he shrugged those wide shoulders of his, taking the empty paper wrapper from you and crunching along with his to throw it in the trash can you were just passing by.

“Alright. Anything else you want to know?”

Seokjin seemed to think about it for a couple of minutes, moving his coffee to the other hand so the one closest to you was free. You pretended not to notice how he walked just a little closer to you so his pinky finger could graze yours. Despite the nervous butterflies taking flight in your stomach, your fingers slipped between his and he squeezed your hand as if acknowledging you.

“How do you like living with us?” he finally asked, and that was an easy question to answer.

“Honestly? I love it. I have a lot of fun with all of you. And I never felt safer. And definitely never been so spoiled.”

“Ah, yes, we do like spoiling you.” Jin chuckled under his breath, thumb caressing the side of yours. “I’m sorry if it gets too much sometimes, I know we can be overprotective.”

You offered him a little shrug as you took careful sips of your hot chocolate. “The way I found out about your true nature, and how I came to live with you, being attacked at Moonlight… Trust me, I understand why you’re so protective.”

“Good. We just don’t want anything to ever happen to you.”

“It’s a little weird, though.” you decided you could be honest with Jin, so you told him: “I miss working at the coffee shop. I haven’t heard from Miss Narae in weeks, I don't know if Moonlight will ever reopen or if she found a replacement already.”

“Are you thinking about your return to Seoul?” he asked, finishing the rest of his coffee and throwing the paper cup into the nearest bin.

You were walking side by side and you followed Jin’s lead. He wasn’t rushing, but it was clear that he knew where he was going, so you let him guide you. There weren’t many cars in the street, so crossing between blocks was easy.

“I have to. I mean, I can't live with you guys forever, as much as I want to.” you whispered the last part as a sigh, but of course he heard you. “I’m sure you guys are going to be tired of me soon enough, I know I don’t fit in.”

You saw and felt Jin physically wince at your words. “What do you mean by that?”

Seokjin sounded almost offended, squeezing your hand a little tighter.

“I was thinking about what you said earlier. And I know Bangtan is not like your familial pack, but everyone still proves their worth, everyone has their job.” you told him, sounding whinier than you hoped for. “You cook for everybody, you make sure everyone is getting enough vitamins and drinking enough water. I know Kook makes rounds around the forest every night, to make sure everything is safe. Hoseok keeps in touch with your friendly packs, Yoongi keeps an eye out for news and what’s going on in Seoul, Namjoon is the leader–”

The werewolf was surprised to hear you detail what each of the pack members did, he had no idea you picked up on all of that.

“What the hell do I do? Sit around and look pretty?”

“You do that job pretty well, little doe.” he tried to lighten the mood, smelling the stress oozing out of you, but it only made it go even sour.

“I want to do more, though. I want to help out, I just don't know how to prove my worth–”

“Is that what this is about? Proving you’re worth being part of the pack?”

You shrugged again, but Seokjin heard your heart beating faster. He knew this was bothering you more than you wanted to let it show.

“Baby.” he squeezed your hand and heard your heart beat faster again. “Do you think we all had everything figured out when we joined the pack? Jungkook was a short, lanky boy. He didn’t become our head of security overnight.” Jin assured you, looking at you, but you avoided his eyes. “You’re already worth it.”

“You’re saying that now, but I’m sure in a few months, when the Southside leaves me alone and it's safe for me again, you’ll just send me back.” you had a pretty pout on your lips and Seokjin’s wolf was begging him to kiss it. “I could tell Joon didn’t want me around when I first came to live with you.”

Just how perceptive were you? Yoongi was right in calling you his clever girl.

“You seem to forget we are courting you, doe. Maybe we aren’t doing a good job of proving to you our intentions are true.”

“I know that, and I know I’m supposed to pick one of you and I’m enjoying getting to know everyone.” you huffed, starting to get choked up.  “But what happens if I pick you, we date for a few months, and then you meet your mate? Am I supposed to pick another one? Will I be sent away with a broken heart?”

You hated how weak you sounded, how desperate. But something about Seokjin let you confide in him, made you want to open up. Maybe it was the fact he was the oldest in the pack, maybe it was his gentle and understanding nature.

“None of us are worried about that.” he still told you.

“Aren’t you supposed to like… Crave a mate or something? Isn't it like constantly missing a part of you? Something you long for your whole lives?”

“Have you been reading fanfics online, darling?”

You rolled your eyes, biting back a tiny, sad smile. Hiding behind your hot chocolate cup you gumbled: “Well, I already finished the book Namjoon gave me.”

“Listen.” Seokjin stopped walking and moved the two of you to the side of the pathway. Both of his hands were on your shoulders as your back rested against the window of a flower shop. His almond shaped eyes were tender and full of affection when he spoke: “If we were so worried about our mates, we wouldn't be courting you. This is a serious thing in our culture and in many cases it's something final. If you choose me, or any of the others, I can promise you you will always come first. And even if you don’t choose any of us, we won't kick you out. Believe it or not, all of us, we see you as part of the pack. We have for a long time.”

Your eyes brimmed with water, stinging as you looked up at the man. No one had ever told you, with so many words, that you were part of the pack. “Does that mean– does that mean I’m staying?”

“Little doe, whatever made you think you were leaving?” he smiled as one of his hands rested on your cheek, wiping away a stray tear. “You’re not stuck with us. You have the freedom to leave, should you choose to. But you also have the freedom to stay.”

You let out a soft sniff, free hand holding onto his shirt. “Okay.”

“Okay.”

Seokjin repeated softly, leaning down to gently bump his nose on yours. It made you smile and he couldn’t resist anymore. The man closed the space between your lips, hearing your little gasp of surprise. He was about to pull back and apologize when your hold on his shirt grew stronger and you pulled him closer.

You allowed him to lick between your lips and parted your mouth for his tongue to slip in in search of yours, tasting the hot chocolate you were drinking. As much as he could kiss you for hours, a small snicker coming from the inside of the store behind you made him pull away.

“This is where I need to pick something up. You want to come with me?”

“Yeah.”

You blinked heavily and nodded, wiping your bottom lip and fixing your clothes. You took another sip of your drink, but you already missed the bitter taste of coffee you tasted on Jin’s lips. The man waited for you to be ready and pushed open the door of the flower shop.

“Hello, you two.” the blonde man behind the counter was grinning as he watched the two of you with knowing eyes.

Of course he had seen you kissing, you were practically pressed to the glass wall of his store!

It didn’t help that the stranger was extremely pretty; he reminded you of a pixie in a way, all that was missing was his pointy ears.

“Felix, this is Yn. Yn, Felix.” Seokjin turned to you and gave you an encouraging smile. “Want to look around? This won’t take long.”

“Sure.”

It was your cue to let the two werewolves talk.

You walked to the side of the store, attracted to the wall with the most colorful and nice smelling flowers you had ever seen. Some of them you were positive you didn’t know existed.

You were sipping on your cooling hot chocolate as something caught your eye. A big glass sign with pictures of flowers and their supposed meanings. You let out a small giggle as you could recognize some of them as gifts Jimin had given you before you even knew it was an attempt on courting you.

As you walked around the shop, you couldn’t help but hear a little of the conversation Seokjin was having with his friend, but you tried not to make it obvious in case it would make either of them uncomfortable.

“So I assume this is for her?” Felix was asking the man as he put a small cardboard box on top of the counter. “It was Changbin’s best work.”

“I’m sure it’s lovely.” Seokjin answered as he inspected the insides of the box, but his back was turned towards you so you couldn’t see his reaction, nor the contents.

“We’ll see you there tomorrow, then?”

“Mhm.”

“With your new pretty thing?”

You could tell pixie boy was just teasing, but there was still a little warning growl leaving Seokjin’s throat that sent a nice kind of shiver up your spine.

“I see how it is.” Felix was giggling, all sweet and cute. “That should be interesting.”

“Will you warn Chan?”

“That the Bangtan pack has a new pet human? I don’t think I could keep it from him.”

“Alright, well, see you tomorrow.”

Seokjin waved you over and held you with a tight arm around your waist. You could tell he was a little stressed, maybe annoyed, you weren’t sure. Only when you were all the way across the street and out of hearing limits, you asked:“Felix is a wolf too, right?” you asked and Jin nodded, walking a little faster than when you were on your way to the store. “And this Chan… He’s their pack leader?”

“Chan is their alpha, yes.” he nodded and you could barely catch up with the wide steps. “Felix is an omega, his mate, Changbin, is the one who takes flowers and arrangements orders and I was hoping he’d be the one to deliver me this.” Seokjin showed you the box secure in his hold and you nodded. “Felix means well, but he can be a little… aggravating.”

“He seems sweet.”

“Is seven wolves not enough for you, little doe?”

You giggled at his tease, noticing how his rush dimmed down a lot once you reached the parked car. Jin let go of you then and you used that freedom to walk to the nearest bin and get rid of your empty hot chocolate cup. When you turned back to him, Jin was leaning against the side of the car, pushing his light brown, messy hair out of his face, parting it in the middle and off his forehead.

“Why does Felix need to tell his alpha about me?” you hoped your voice was leveled enough, even if your heart was anything but controlled.

“Our packs are friendly, and we value each other greatly.” he started, one of his hands resting on your waist to pull you closer. “We’re bringing you somewhere tomorrow, and it's best if our allies already know about you beforehand.”

“Where are we going?”

You were standing between Seokjin’s parted legs, one of his hands was secure on the low of your back, inside the open hoodie you were wearing, and the other touched your face. Your own hands rested on his chest, feeling his breathing and his heart under your fingertips.

You couldn’t stop yourself from leaning in a little more, nosing at the base of his throat as you inhaled his fig leaves and coconut scent; something that instantly calmed you.

“It’s a ceremony. A pretty big deal for wolves, and a meeting point from packs all over the district.” Seokjin explained. “That’s where we’ll introduce you as part of the pack.”

Your hands closed up in fists as you held onto Jin’s shirt, getting lost in his smell and his warmth. Your lips touched his skin and he shivered.

“Wait–” you said with a misty sigh. “So you were really serious? I’m part of the pack?”

“Of course you are, little doe.” Jin’s hand slipped to the back of your neck, squeezing it nice and tight, guiding your face to where he wanted you to kiss. “We were going to tell you about it during dinner, but you’re such a needy girl.”

“Mhmm, needy for you, Jinnie.”

In hindsight, maybe you should ask more about this ceremony, but it was rare for you to have a lot of alone time with Seokjin. Either one of the other wolves would be around to whine for your attention, or the elder would be busy with taking care of everyone or advising Namjoon in whatever it is they did.

You were practically melting into his touch, completely leaning against him, chest to chest as you rose on the tip of your toes and linked your hands together at the back of his neck. You kissed and licked the spot where neck meets shoulder, letting out little noises that you could only describe as joyous purrs.

“Baby, if you keep doing this–”

“What will you do about it?”

You didn’t want to know what he would do about it, because telling you he’d drag you into the car, lay you down in the backseat and fuck you nice and slow until you weren’t able to walk properly was too much. He kissed you once and it was already the best kiss he ever had.

Seokjin didn’t think you knew the power you held over him, over the whole pack. You could cause a war within Bangtan, should you choose to.

For now, he chose to kiss you again.

“Come here, doe.” he whispered in your ear, feeling you tremble in his hold.

Your eyes were blown out when you looked at him again, all glossy and pretty. Maybe he was letting out pheromones to make you pliant and soft, not that he needed to, that seemed to be your natural state. But he liked how whiny you grew, how your hands pawed at his shoulder as you tried to move impossibly closer to him.

Seokjin lifted your face with two fingers under your chin, lips ghosting yours. He could smell the hot chocolate on your breath, and he wanted to taste it again. His lips captured yours in a kiss that started off gentle and soft, but soon grew needy. You parted your lips and your tongue met his.

His hand tangled in your hair and he pulled to angle your head in the way he wanted, tipped to the side so he could deepen the kiss, explore your mouth, tongue playing with yours.

You were letting out little moans that were not appropriate to where you were, but he could not care less. The hand on your back, hidden by Jungkook’s long hoodie, slipped just a little south, resting on your ass and giving it a little squeeze.

You moaned into his mouth, pushing your backside into his hand as if you were asking for more.

That’s when he knew he had to stop.

“I have something for you.” Seokjin whispered on your lips and you grinned.

“I can feel it.” you pressed harder into him, feeling his hardness pressing against your stomach.

“Not–not that.” he chuckled in light embarrassment, pulling away from your lips with tiny pecks.

“But I want that–”

“Behave now, little doe.” Seokjin warned with a stern voice that sent a pang of arousal between your legs. “You don’t want me to fuck you for the first time on the hood of the car, do you?”

“Actually–”

The man didn’t let you finish your phrase, pushing you gently off of him and wiping your bottom lip with his thumb. Jin turned around to pick up the small box he left on the roof of the car and handed it to you, watching you expectantly.

You pulled off the lid, finding a hairpin resting on a dark purple, velvet cushion. The pin was of a bluish lilac flower with pointed petals, surrounded by delicate green leafs and foliage.

“Jin… This is beautiful.” you were terribly scared of taking it out of the box, scared of ruining it’s delicacy. “I’ve never seen this type of flower before.”

“That’s because it’s really rare. It’s called the smeraldo flower, I can tell you about its legend some other time.” he informed you as you looked over the pin. “This flower is the symbol of the Bangtan pack.”

“Oh.”

“If you wear it tomorrow, it will send a message that you belong to us.”

“Didn’t think you were coming anymore.” Hoseok had his back to you, wrapped up in a towel and sitting on a lounger.

“Sorry, I was deciding if it would be worth it to risk catching a cold for swimming past midnight in the middle of autumn.”

That was a lie.

The moment Hoseok asked you if you wanted to take a dip in the swimming hole on the side of the cabin, you were saying yes. You took a while, however, deciding on what to wear.

You were thankful Yoongi had ordered you some bathing suits, alongside the other pieces of clothing he gave you. There were bikinis and one piece bathing suits with all levels of coverage. You didn’t want to put on the skimpiest one, but you also didn’t want to be too covered.

You ended up deciding on a two piece that still left things to the imagination, but looked really good on you. When you met Hoseok next to the swimming place, you were wearing one of his hoodies.

“The water is heated, pretty girl. I wouldn’t want you getting sick.” he stood up, turning to you and letting the towel drop to the chair. “Plus, you know how our body temperature is higher than yours, you can just stay close to me.”

You wanted to agree, tease him about the poor excuse of having you near, but your brain couldn’t form words. You were used –and take this word lightly– to seeing Jungkook shirtless, and you saw Yoongi without a shirt this morning. But apart from that you only ever caught glimpses of the other men.

And Hoseok was something else.

His body was lean and thin, with few lines on his stomach, a pretty belly button, collarbones you desperately wanted to kiss. It was dark outside, but you could see the perfect outline of his chest and the dips of his waist.

The man was smirking when you looked at his face again.

But two could play the staring game.

You walked closer to the chair and pulled his hoodie from your body, sifting it a little slower than necessary. When you let it fall to where his towel rested, Hobi was looking at your body, checking you out with a little smirk.

Dammit, I wanna take a swim too. Hoseok could hear Jungkook whining from somewhere in the forest.

The maknae should be doing his rounds, not spying on the two of you from the darkness of the woods.

Don’t be a creep. Don’t come here either, I already had to fight Taehyung off, I can beat you too. Was his response.

We all know Tae hyung always goes rock-rock-paper, it’s not even a challenge.

It was still a fair win.

If Jungkook said something else, Hoseok tuned him out when you walked past him to dip your toes into the water, humming from the warmth. He walked to you, after eyeing your backside shamelessly, and circled your waist with his arms, resting his chin on your head.

“Is it warm enough for you?”

“Mm. But I still like you close to me.”

You turned your face to kiss just under his jaw before walking the short steps away it took to reach the stairs on the side of the makeshift pool, bending down low enough to let Hobi see more of  your cleavage and jumping backwards into the water as you reached the last step.

You were engulfed by the warm water as you sank down, heart going a little faster as you realized how dark the pool was; you couldn’t see anything when you opened your eyes. The first night of the full moon was also eerie enough and a small shiver ran up your spine as you wondered just what could be lurking in those woods.

“Hey, I’m here.” Hoseok must have sensed your fear somehow, for he swimmed closer to you. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing’s wrong.” you smiled, feeling a lot calmer. Now that he was so close to you, you could feel a lot more warmth. It was then that you heard a loud howling coming from the woods, but it made you giggle. “Is that Kookie?”

“Yeah, he’s sulking. Ignore him.”

“About what?” if you really stretched your legs you could just about touch the floor with your toes and the water level was on your neck. Hoseok seemed to stand comfortably, with the water by his shoulders.

“No idea. Must be that time of the month.”

That made you frown and look at him funny. “Wait, do wolves–”

“Not the way you’re thinking.” the man chuckled, leaning backwards so he could dip his hair into the water, pushing it off his face.

“So the full moon doesn’t affect you like in the movies and stories?”

“Not really. We have legends that talk about the moon, but it’s mostly because humans like to think that wolves just howl at the full moon, which is just not true.”

You nodded in understanding. You’ve been with the pack long enough to know they didn’t need the moon to be full to turn into their wolf forms, but you still liked to believe there was something about the moon that made it special.

“So Jung Hoseok is a skeptical, huh?” you asked as you swimmed a little deeper into the pool and the man followed you in lazy steps.

He shrugged before saying: “Just don’t like to waste my time with silly bedtime stories about blood magic and special creatures.”

“Your existence is literally a bedtime story.” you pointed out. “If anyone should believe in magic, it should be you.”

“I believe in you.”

Your cheeks heated up with the backhanded flirting, so you averted your eyes and lifted your legs and opened your arms in an attempt to float. Hoseok moved closer to you, one hand resting flat on your back as the other touched the back of your thigh, holding you afloat so you could relax.

And you did, practically melting at his warm and caring touch.

“Hobi.” you called softly and quietly, staring at the big bright moon up in the sky.

“Yes, pretty girl?”

“This ceremony tomorrow… What is it for?”

“That’s something else that I think it's pointless.” Hoseok told you, and that’s how you knew it probably meant something.

“Is it a celebration or something?”

“In a way, I guess. It’s a mating ceremony. Which just means it’s an excuse for flaunting, flirting, and for wolves to go home feeling lonely.”

That made you frown and you couldn’t just float quietly anymore. You squirmed in his hold and Hoseok let your leg go so you could go back to a standing position, but his hand on your back remained there.

“Wait, so the purpose of it is to find your mate?”

“Yes and no.” he said with a little tired sigh, both hands slipping to your hips to hold you close. “It started as a way for the elders to play matchmaker, for packs to bond and merge, making the lineages stronger, or expanding territories. Nowadays it serves as a meetup more than anything. It’s a way for packs from all over to mingle and get to know each other. And, yes, sometimes find their mates amongst them.”

“And you guys–”

Hoseok stopped you before you could even ask. He pulled your body closer to his; so close, in fact, your chest was touching his and you caught his fleeting eyes as he stared at your top.

“We haven’t been to these things in years, and we have even less interest in searching for mates now.” he explained slowly, as if wanting his words to get into your head.  “But with the way things are back in Seoul, and the Southside gaining allies, Joonah thinks it's a good idea for us to see old friends, to be seen and make sure we know who’s on our side.”

The mention of the Southside wolves brought a bad taste to your mouth and you held onto Hoseok a little tighter, hands resting on his biceps as he flexed them ever so slightly.

“Do you think the Southside will be there?” you asked in a small voice, scared they might hear you and find you.

“The Southside is made of many packs, but they don’t know you’re here, so there’s no reason for them to come looking.” he assured you softly. “Besides, we have a lot more allies in the area than they do, they wouldn’t be stupid enough to show up.”

“Okay.”

“Don’t worry, pretty girl. We wouldn't let anything happen to you.” he said, and you believed him. “No one else gets to touch you now, only us.”

The way Hobi said it carried a finality that made your heart swoon and your mind swim. You wouldn’t mind if these seven men were the only ones to ever touch you for the rest of your life.

As much as you were dying to agree, there was something about Hobi that stopped you from turning into a puddle in his hold. Something that made you want to act out, give him a run for his money. Despite the butterflies in your stomach and your will to submit already, you grinned with a small giggle.

“What’s so funny?” he asked, walking right into your trap.

Your shoulders moved up and down, just as your hands slipped from his arms to his shoulders. Defiant, you said: “I just think it’s interesting you’re the one saying that when you’ve barely touched me.”

Something dark crossed the man’s eyes, followed by the light caramel glowing, his face turned into serious, hard lines; a set jaw and sharp eyes that reminded you more of the wolf than the man.

“Careful what you wish for, pretty girl.”

“Or what?”

Hoseok’s features softened, but his eyes were still a melted caramel color, which told you to keep your guards up and not to trust him. The dangerous man bumped his nose on your cheek, making your face turn to the side and you shamelessly offered up your neck for him. Your feet couldn’t touch the ground anymore, as he lifted you up until your legs wrapped around his waist on instinct.

His lips touched your neck and he breathed deeply, a low and slightly menacing rumble coming from his chest. You assumed the pool water had washed away everyone else’s scents, leaving only yours instead.

Hoseok growled and you felt his lips on your shoulder, followed by pointy teeth slowly sinking in on the spot he chose. It didn’t break skin, but it broke you. Your legs wrapped tighter around him as your nails sunk in on his shoulders and any resistance you had was sinking to the bottom of the pool.

“Test me again and find out.” his warning was followed by a new growl, one delivered right under your ear as he sucked on the spot.

Maybe you’d test him again on another day, for now you really fucking needed to kiss him.

The alpha was still kissing your neck when your hands tangled on his hair and you pulled him off and clashed your lips into his. Hoseok didn’t take two seconds to react, fighting you for dominance of the kiss, pushing his tongue past your gasping lips.

This right here is what you thought Hoseok would be like, all tongue and teeth and a little on the wild side. He was the third eldest of the pack, but he didn’t have responsibilities like Namjoon and wasn’t an adviser like Seokjin. Which meant he was full of authority and he had to take it out somewhere. And you’d let him put you in your place any day.

Hoseok’s tongue was precise and lavish, rolling over yours and around your mouth, making your breath get trapped in your lungs and your fingers tangle harder into his wet hair. Both of his hands slipped to your ass and he squeezed, pressing you against him, making you moan. You felt him smirking against your lips, and you were positive it was his way of saying I’m touching you now.

He took your bottom lip into his mouth, sucking on it slowly and making your eyes roll back. You wondered if he would be opposed to sitting on the edge of the pool and letting you taste him. You could already feel the hardness growing between his legs and pressing against your scarcely covered core.

Hyung, that’s enough kissing, don’t you think?

“Tell Kookie I’m not done kissing you.” you spoke against Hoseok’s lips, chasing them again when he pushed away from you as if he had been shocked. “What?”

“You– what did you say?”

“I said to tell Jungkookie I’m not done kissing you.” you whined, trying to kiss him again.

“What did he say, exactly?”

You huffed in annoyance, but repeated: “Enough kissing, don’t you think?”

Omg sleepy Yoongi is swoon worthy. I love his little freak out over the hickeys. The boys are all so sweet by this chapter really made my Sope loving heart happy. I have no idea how she is meant

SomeShineSomeDon’t

I feel like pack dynamics and hierarchy it would be Joon, but the Yoongi bias in me wants him to claim her first. Sorry I'm barely replying back... it's been a rough week, I'm in desperate need of reading therapy.

😂😂😂😂 I gotta teaseeeee. Can you guess who gets the first smut scene? 👀 It's coming soon 👀

Yoongiofmine

HA! She can hear them! I don't care what Jin says... shes totally part wolf or something. Also, stop being a tease... I love all the boys, but damn I was ready for more sleepy, broad Yoongi.
