Palette 2 gets a second chance - behind the scenes

I've been testing the Palette 2 'S' upgrade kit non stop over the last few days to see if it makes the product more reliable than before. My experience was pretty consistent with what I saw on their forums, where half of the users were nailing awesome prints and the other half were getting garbled garbage.
The verdict so far: the colour sync seems much improved, so most of my failures are coming from brittle filament splices snapping. In this case it's just like when filament runs out on a regular print. The printer keeps going through the motions unaware.
The dreaded splice tuning is coming now and the video will be out later in the week.

2020-04-20 21:17:34 +0000 UTCI have a Palette 2 but haven't upgraded yet. Been thinking about it, so I'm definitely curious about your results. Have you tried "endurance mode"? I think it's supposed to make the splices stronger.
