I’ve just finished up a few days in Berlin where I was lucky enough to film some of the most powerful oxidisers ever made. Some really fascinating chemistry and I can’t wait to make this all into the video.
In the first picture you can see liquid oxygen floating on liquid fluorine, which gets exposed to UV light turning it into FOOF - a chemical that has sort of entered pop science as a thing that exists, but this may be the first time ever this reaction has been filmed?? So, again, I’m very excited to bring it to you.
I’ve still got a bit more content to film in Germany, but mostly I’m just so thankful to you all for sponsoring the videos and allowing me to take on some high budget projects like this. Not every project uses up the Patreon budget, but that means when an opportunity like this Berlin trip arises- I’m still able to take it on, even without a sponsor section!! So that’s fantastic.
Video should hopefully be out in August, and there will a second channel video or two about other side things which are interesting to me, but more technical than the rapid pace of theEx&F videos.
Thanks!
Tom
