Christmas Tar

The weather here is beautiful, maybe a little hot… but perfect for chemistry I feel- nice long sunny days. Currently I’m trying to do the first 2 cubane steps at the large scale. Things are looking….. a little like tar honestly, so I may have ruined it, but we’ll find out after a vacuum distillation tomorrow!
Hoping this video will be out around the 30th of December. Been real fun getting back into cubane chemistry again

They helped out with the last video too (the cubane intro one) and it was fun and a lot more efficient with two of us taking turns on the editing. So I’m certain it will help get the videos out faster, as I can spend more time in the lab and less time on the computer
