The Future of Nara Makes Games (Part 2)

The results of the poll showed that 80% of you feel like you want to support Nara Makes Games no matter what I am posting or where. And 20% like the exclusivity of Patreon to get something for their investment. So what it sounds like is I should place emphasis on Patreon, but it's cool to share some of that on other mediums as well. Which is what I was thinking, as well.

I think, now that I have moved into my home in the country of Thailand and am heading to Japan soon for three months, I want to pull back a bit. Do a reset of sorts. It's feeling like I am going to be working on the next game, but in private for the most part. Possibly keep a majority of game related posts here.

I'm not entirely sure about the future of my review work on Youtube, because I had really big plans for my Ayaneo DMG review, and they keep delaying it. In most recent discussions, they said they will send it to me "mid-november", which is this week. I told them if I received it at the end of November, I wouldn't even have time to review it. And I leave December 3, so if it's not here, it will sit in Thailand for three months. Major bummer, as I am expecting it to be my favorite handheld and was very very excited to use it on my trip. I was also supposed to do a review for the Trimui Brick. Same story - they keep delaying it and I just told them don't send it.

One thing I was excited for was to start working on new video concepts. There's this Korean girl that my wife and I watch called 'Rirang on Air'. And she just goes camping and eats food and she loves cats. Totally up our alley. I was thinking of doing camping/food/animal videos and mixing in my love of retro gaming and anime and stuff. Especially since I live on a giant farm in Thailand and we've got dogs and cats and I have tons of fun gaming options to throw in the mix. Me cooking food, petting dogs, playing Secret of Mana on a CRT in a tent with bats and fireflies flying over my head? Sounds pretty rad!

Again, my main plans for Japan are to learn to actually chill. I don't know how to relax and stop thinking of what I should do next. And I've got three months where all I am required to do is enjoy Japan. So I'd like to attempt a true break. And when I return... likely going to be doing some professional work (web/graphics), start doing camping videos, and start the next game without any big announcements or promises.
