Tempting Night - Part 1

A/N: This is part one of the oneshot I wanted to get out today. There have been some personal things that have come up the last two days so this was all I could get out for today. I will have the second part out as quickly as I can. The prompt was from a fellow patron. I hope you enjoy this first part.

Tempting Night

Sue Li was wandering the halls of the castle, still somewhat giddy of the excitement of the ball. It had mostly wound down over the last hour and several of her friends, and date, had decided to call it a night. She giggled as the memory of the snog and being felt up by her date. The word pierced the quiet hum of the castle. Sue Li stopped only to hear some muffled moans pierce the night. She felt her neck and face heat up as she surmised what was happening. She turned on her heel to make away; watching a couple have their own moment really wasn’t what she meant when she wanted the night to keep on going. She made it to the corner when another moan followed by another word reached her ears.

“Harry!”

Sue Li’s eyes widened as she realized who at least one of the couple was. Her feet froze as the implications washed over her. And well there was another piece to it as well. Her fellow Claws didn’t understand, but she loved gossip. There was nothing bigger to the castle than who Harry decided to hook up with. The need to know warred with the embarrassment of watching another couple’s intimate moment. Another moan echoing through the hallway proved all the answer that she needed.

Sue Li slipped off her shoes so she could walk silently. The only thing was that she really wasn’t sure where the sounds were coming from. Peeking in the rooms without having a good idea wasn’t the greatest of ideas. They squeaked and creaked too often and the silencing spell was one she still struggled with. The going might’ve been slow but she wasn’t to be put out by it. The look on Lavender’s face at this piece of gossip was totally going to be worth it. She wasn’t going to watch long, just long enough to identify the girl then get out. Sue Li was pointedly ignoring the heat creeping up her neck again.

She found the door that she was reasonably sure that the couple was in. Breathing deeply she poured as much concentration into her spellwork casting a silencing spell on the door. A few moments later she heard some heavy breathing and felt like another moan would be short coming. Her deduction was correct; in a way.
