Damn, going for an interlude was mean. That said... Ouch at the fate of the neighbours and that's definitely going to be one reason this village ends up becoming known for so many legends and stories as the little lines you've been tossing out suggest. Though at the same time, those very facts are also something that will be strongly pushing for certain 'awkward' elements to not be looked at too closely. Better to claim the legitimacy, prestige and pride given by a success than bring up anything that could taint it, just like if they'd all fallen then people would just quietly leave it buried. Oh, and on a final note... You might want to look over the chapter again. There's multiple times you flip from 'he said, he did' to 'I said, I did' and back. For example? > somehow I found it
