Writers Block Nightmare
Added 2020-09-10 16:04:17 +0000 UTCI feel so bad for being away. My writer's block is killing me. Everything i launch scrivener my fingers freeze up, and i just stare at the blank page.
If anyone has any advice on writer's block. Please let me know. GAH! I want to get back into things and finish Gun Meister 2.
I don't want to delete my Patreon completely, but i will be skipping donations each month.

I struggle with the same issues. But through my readings of books on procrastination and productivity I did find having a "Process". Something creative to get your juices flowing before you write, painting, taking photos, etc. I found that if I free write, with pen and paper, I start to feel those creative juices flowing and that wall starts to crumble. I always try to write as fast as I can to keep up with my fleeting thoughts and I never use my eraser. Simple line for big errors but I don't use punctuation or worry about grammar. That usually helps dust off the cobwebs for me.

2021-02-22 01:09:41 +0000 UTCNot sure what your process is like but I had an editor once tell me that he recommends to his writers that they write the part of the story that happens to be flowing for them at a given point in time, so if chapter X isn’t coming together then just jump to a point in your outline that your brain will cooperate and give you inspiration. Then eventually come back to the point where you got stuck or even back farther to rework the story if it needs it to flow with the rest of what you’ve successfully written at that point.
