The Patreon question...
Added 2019-01-23 11:41:07 +0000 UTCBit of a heavy subject today. I am very much considering closing my Patron account. This is for a few reasons:
1. On principle, the recent scandals with Patreon taking action against members on its site for ambiguous and confusing reasons sighting policies that seem to contradict their action.
2. Patreon take a cut of your kind contributions so you may be unwittingly paying a company you might disagree with and certainly one I am not happy supporting any more. (kinda linked to 1)
3. I am unable to give the time and attention to my Patreon page that you guys deserve like exclusive builds and early access stuff etc.
There are not really any alternatives to patreon at the moment but i know that several are in the works since this whole thing blew up, so i may look to move onto one of those in the future.
As a short term alternative i will look to enable the sponsor button within YouTube and will be looking to do more Twitch streams of other games so twtich subscribers get a bit more spanj for their buck as it were.
I just wanted to check how you guys all felt about this before i tool action though. If you are happy to continue with Patreon I may just leave it as is, but if you prefer to support me through Twitch of YouTube then i will close the Patreon.
Finally, Thank you to all of you for supporting me, you really have gone above and beyond. Its you guys that allowed me to start uploading in 1080p and we're making great progress towards that new PC i'm gonna need very soon. You have my continued thanks and gratitude.
Anyway, let me know your thoughts.

2019-03-12 08:58:28 +0000 UTCI'm a little late to this post (just joined today) but as to you feeling that you're not doing justice to the Patreon page... as for myself, I want to support you not for exclusives and early access or what not. While those are great, it's to enable you to keep doing what you do for everybody, the videos and GREAT humor. You crack me up and always keep me entertained, that is why I (and I imagine others here) support you and will continue to do so. Keep up the great work Spanj!
