Weekly Update- 05/30/2023

A day late but that's because there is a lot of new updates to share!

Patreon Discord

• The House of Patrons Discord has officially been created. Automatic invites have already been sent out! Feel free to join if you'd like! In regards to Patreon activities, the Discord will be used for future movie nights and potentially game nights!
• All Patrons in the Film Fan tier and above will automatically be invited. 
• The Patron perks will be updated to reflect the new perk.

Trivia Night ---> Game Night

• The monthly Trivia Night will now be a monthly Game Night. Trivia will still be played! But we also wanted to have the opportunity to play other games with Patrons (Gartic phone, pictionary etc). A minor change, but a fun change!

House of Horrors will become a weekly series

• Sydney and I have decided that we love horror so much, we want to be able to bring the series to you all on a weekly basis! 
• Each month, Patrons will vote on a theme. Episode 1, we will discuss theme in a broad sense and then the following 3 weeks Sydney and I will discuss a specific movie related to that theme. (E.G. Episode 1 on Zombie Movies, Ep 2 is World War Z, Ep 3 is on 28 Days Later and Ep. 4 is on Dawn of the Dead)
• This new format of House of Horrors will launch in July! Until then, we will have a 1 episode in June so we can prep for the new weekly series!

House of A24 will still be active!

• 2 episodes of House of A24 will still be published each month, however, it will now be a collaborative series with myself, Claira, & Sydney!
• We are looking to publish these episodes the first and last week of each month!

New Stickers and the future of Merch

• We are still working on new designs for stickers so we can send those out to the appropriate tier. As we continue to grow, Merch is something we are definitely looking to do! Ideas are cooking, we will let you know more on this front!

Video podcasts

• We are looking to release a video formats of Patreon episodes only! Audio formats will always still be available, but for those who want a visual medium to watch and listen to House of MCU, Horrors, or A24, we are looking to also launch this in July!
• Video formatted episodes will be available to Patrons in Film Fan and above! (will notify y'all if this changes in the future)

Cinephile Tier

• We are still reworking your perks at this time. The giveaway will not change, that will still fire every month (including next week) as long as the tier consists of a minimum of 10 patrons. 
• We are also looking to do 1 Movie Draft a month (Public episode), either with the HoC team or other fun guests! One perk that Cinephiles will have is the exclusive voting power to choose that draft topic. 
• Currently, the other perk is an episode request. While we don't have the manpower to deliver 12 unique episodes a month, we are still trying to work out a way to deliver something fun to our top patrons. We may enact a lottery system to choose an episode, but we have made that official just yet. 
• If you are in the Cinephile tier and have any suggestions, please feel free to send us a DM!!
