Weekly Update 10/16/2023

Hello Roomies!

First of all, there was a major Patreon update (you probably noticed the new in-app group chat) and I want to welcome in the wave of new Roomies who have joined the free option on Patreon! We appreciate all forms of support immensely, but just in case you are not in the discord, here is a reminder of Free tier perks:

• receive access to *view* weekly updates and other important announcements
• receive access to *one* patreon exclusive episode a month

The access is very limited, but we did want to offer some type of perk to free members. Paid members obviously maintain all their perks (commenting on posts, participating in chats, and access to ALL 7+ exclusive episodes a month etc) with hopefully more to come!

REAL UPDATES

Discord Movie Night- TUESDAY 10/17- BONG JOON-HO's THE HOST- the second movie in our Spooky Month watch party. Bring your popcorn and drinks! Screening starts at 5:30pm PST/8:30pm EST (Film Enthusiast and Above)

MERCH- we are in the process of integrating the merch store INTO Patreon. This should allow those in the proper tiers to get their stickers through the site hassle free (instead of me handwriting everyone a letter). We are in convos with some artists for some other exciting ideas!!!!

GAME NIGHT- Spooky game night is looking to happen likely next week. Stay tuned! (Film Fan tier and above)

Game Night moves to WEEKLY starting November- as a reminder, starting November we do trivia weekly! Like 2-3 rounds a night (about an hour a night). We will track the winners and offer prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd at the end of each month :)

Cinephile Giveaway- I forgot to do one on Friday for the first winner of October! Will spin the wheel tomorrow! (Cinephile tier only)

House of Anime- WE ARE ON THE HOME STRETCH. We have entered the final season of Attack on Titan. Expect 2-3 podcast episodes a week to prep for the SERIES finale Nov 4th. Once we reach that finale, we will take a short break to do some fun movie episodes. 

QUESTION- Would y'all prefer public episodes to also be posted in Patreon? We usually always post it directly to Spotify/Apple, but we can also post the public episodes here? It would allow us to converse with you directly in the comments. Let us know! It’s not any extra work for us :)

Super sorry for the long update! But this amazing community has been growing so fast and we want to ensure we are making this place worth your time!!! We also want to reiterate the Discord and Patreon chats have been such a great place to talk about movies/tv or just whatever and that is largely because of how great you all are!
