I dunno about police forces in america, but in the UK they cheaped out massively on the body cams, the batteries last a couple hours at best and you can be on the beat for much longer than that. Source: my brother in law is a Metropolitan Police Officer

We Didn't Start the Fire was written because Billy Joel wanted to be a history teacher. It's going through a bunch of historical events in order through the past century. Which I personally think is a pretty cool concept for a song, not sure why y'all shit on it so much. It's much more inspired than writing the 9,203,210,385th love song in existence, like The Longest Time.
I will allow that the chorus fucking sucks, but it's the verse that's the focus, not the chorus.

Maybe you could get Beau of the fifth column to do a dff part 2 together about police violence and the systemic problems within the american police force. He's been criticising the police system for a very long time now and has something very interesting things to say for he actually used to be a police instructor, if I remember correctly. Have been a fan of your content for nearly 10 years eventhough I rarely get to see you live, because of the time delay to Germany. Good luck and stay healthy.

Okay allegedly the song we didn’t start the fire came after a conversation with a friend who made a comment about how little has happened during the 50s-80s era billy Joel who was a history teacher decide to make this song recounting just some of the major events of those 30 years

I saw a video clip later of that pizza box guy and the umbrella "cop" guy after the autozone instance and they were laughing and talking to each other afterwards like whatever it was, was resolved so I don't think he was a cop

TJ, check out Rob Zombies song Going To California... it is the most god awful piece of music written in the past 80 years bar none. I dare anyone to get through the entire song without wanting to rip their ears out of their skull. Good luck..

how about if your body cam is "off" you get fired. Check them regularly, but if one cop's bodycam goes off 3 times a month we have a problem. Maybe put more than 1 cam on them?

Everyone knows police brutality, especially to minorities is a problem, Everyone agrees that police basically getting vacation followed by no punishment for what is essentially murder is wrong and a serious problem. People have been fighting and protesting and attempting to get laws passed to fix this for well over 30 years now.
It's not being fixed, it's still being ignored. The way I see it, once all legal political routes have been exhausted then violent protest is acceptable, Cause it's the only tool you have to effect change.

TJ is right, the cops according to the supreme court have no obligation. I just don't agree with want-in destruction. It is going to put people out of work, someone already lost their life from the pawnshop robbery. Burning down grocery and retail stores, isn't helping people who need access to those stores. I don't see why we don't just throw the cop in jail, like we do with the citizenry. It doesn't seem that hard in other situations. I think we would be better off following what other police do in the world. IE try not killing their citizenry for a change.

These riots aren't the way to deal with the killing of this man.as an aside, I'm not advocating violence, but why burn down some general store or a Wendy's in your own community if you can just go directly for the people you deem guilty. Once again not saying anyone should get hurt, I think one man's death is already bad enough. But burning down so much? they keep saying that buildings can be rebuilt but nobody is going to invest in their city now. Detroit 2.0, that's what i see happening. Very sad, I doubt we will see real justice or even a comprehensive investigation by a unbiased third party. Truly these are end times, i just hope to stay plastered all the way through to the end.

Well shit, I didn't mean any harm. I thought I was just expressing my opinion on the matter. Didn't know i was being aggravating. I wasn't trying to be patronizing, with the "I enjoy your content" comment. I was trying to say that I respect your opinion on a lot, but disagree on this. But I guess you guys are pretty heated right now. It is what it is.
