I think generally, fans are not happy with kayfabe and the lower effort content. It seems even the hosts themselves are a little annoyed by the kayfabe too, as is evident this episode. However, some of us understand the reasons. You're shooting episodes back to back at the moment, leaving less time and energy to put in the research and effort towards crafting better shows. On top of that, covid severely limits it further through both faulty internet and unreliable software as well as just not being in the same room and feeding off each other. This is a rough patch for the show, but nothing they can't overcome. What we shouldn't do as fans is devolve into toxicity. That's probably one of the main contributing factors for the end of the other show ...

How far out in advance are these episodes recorded? I remember TJ getting the gavel delivered in a stream over a month ago and he just ordered in this episode. That means this episode must have been recorded almost 2 months ago.

I thought the premise for the show was very interesting , it just needed to be flushed out . It was too short and they really should have talked about the true impact of what's going on in the environment . I saw on one of Paul's highdeologys that they're cranking a ton of these out so they have a big backlog . It may be why some people think the quality has dropped because they're banging these out and they're probably exhausted . I like it , just wanted more .

Yeah it’s so frustrating because Paul has generally always had my favorite episodes and the best presentation. Like he usually would have his own narrative voice, not blatantly reading from someone else’s script or a wiki page word for word. But lately he’s just phoning it in it seems. For example this episode he uses his own words to talk about the circumstances around the dodo’s demise, which was well-done and entertainingly phrased, then two minutes later robotically spouts the same facts he just said in his own words because he is reading from a script he didn’t write and doesn’t want to lose his place. I’m one bantersode and one 1-hour patron episode away from unsubscribing. The plebs almost get more content or the same amount at this point. 1 hour long patron episodes is fucking insulting, especially with how low effort they’ve become.
