The new Suicide Squad movie doesn't seem to want to be taken seriously. It seems like depression everyone involved with this project was over worked and stressed and didn't give a fuck. If this movie does a good job of showing that it is self aware that it is a bad and formulaic super hero action movie and leans into a satirical critique of the superhero genre, it will strike a cord in the people tired of the superhero tropes and conventions that the movie hopefully does a good job of critiquing will make the movie a satirical comedy without using 4th wall breaking and inside the head dialogue exposition and monolog the Deadpool get a message had to rely on as a crutch.
