Badass Women of the Labor Rights Movement = DFF #357

Labor rights have come a long way, but there's still much work to be done. In today's episode, Paul covers some female figures that were total badasses, whose contributions helped to make great strides in worker's rights.

Hey I know this might be a dumb question but how do I open this in YouTube on my phone is there a way I could get added to the playlist?

Where I work we have active anti union meetings and are required under penalty of disciplinary action up to termination to report any union activity. We aren't even allowed to say anything to the reps or talk about them.

Rat squatch

Unions are the shit, don’t ever work without one if its an option.

Kula

Yeah, it's unfortunate how many unions have weakened over time.

When I was a kid the union insurance my dad had was so fucking good, our family doctor would literally shut down his office for our family to come in and and would take us out to lunch as well. Not anymore.

Kula

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the episode.

Really good episode my dad was a unionized elevator mechanic for 30 years, and I am a unionized truck driver. Been seeing our benefits and union support be slowly cut down and back for a long time. People don’t seem to understand how important and beneficial unions are anymore. Great spotlight episode for how important unions are how much they’ve done for us and how forgotten and demonized they’ve become.

Howdy Poop Poop, how’s it hanging?
