Awesome episode Paul!

Rhys Evans

Good episode, but I wish you guys would have gone more in depth on the I35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis. There is a lot of political intrigue surrounding that collapse. For example, how the MN governor at the time, Tim Palenty (R), slashed infrastructure funding before the collapse and how the RNC primaries were supposed to be held in Minneapolis that year but after the I35W collapse John McCain pressured Palenty into rebuilding it quickly or else the RNC conference would be help elsewhere. I've heard rumors the new bridge has some of the same issues as the collapsed one, so I'd be interested what you would find in your research regarding that. It's also a miricle only 13 or so people died after that bridge collapsed because that I35W is a major highway and it was rush hour when it collapsed. Part 2?
