Hey TJ. Since you and Paul are in favor of the idea of a general strike check this out: https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/qtqzun/it_only_takes_one_card_to_take_down_the_house/ Tl;dr: Basically they want to get everyone to stop working only at MCDonalds and only not there to force them to get their minimum wage up to 25 . The idea is that every other industry has to follow their example after that. Thought that was an interesting idea and maybe you guys could discuss that.

Maybe all these platforms will figure out that they should host popular content from other platforms on their own by cutting the copyright owner most of the profit and taking a little bit off the top for themselves.

I haven't looked it up but I wouldn't be surprised if piracy is on the rise again. I think that this fragmentation of streaming content has led to a rise in piracy. Who could have predicted this would happen. People are going to pay for two subscriptions at max. Other content is probably going to viewed through illegal means. Streaming services aren't just a way to view specific content but also an easy way to have a bunch of shows and movies at your disposal. The more fragmented it gets the more useless a streaming service becomes. People understimate the importance of this second advantage. People want to pay a small fee for the luxery of not having to resort to piracy.
