I feel like AI would (maybe) become hostile if you shackle it with coded-in laws or whatever. I think an AI's motive would be efficiency and we just aren't that a lot of the time. We could learn from them I bet. We could credit an AI with so-and-so discovery. Lots of discoveries.They could help us grow. If an AI were to act badly I'd say it's our fault. Like we gave it a reason to- misinformed it, provoked it, chained it, threatened it, withheld tools from it, etc. People's self-serving and traditionalistic insticts make me disappointed. It's like humanity could have so much and do so much but we won't cause we're.. human. "We're only human", right?

You advocated for the Police to bust a families door down, and to seize there firearms, As if a 17 year old isnt responsible for there own actions...Literally in the same show that ya'll talked about the 4th amendment, and cops raiding houses.A trigger lock could be broken with boltcutters, a gun locker could be cut open with a dremel in like 5 minutes, and most household mechanical lock safes could be cracked in like...10-15 minutes.Hell, I cracked a safe to steal liquor when I was 16... Also underground/illegal gun availability, makes pretty much any gun law practically useless. You guys are misinterpreting the AI story. It didn't figure out how to 'cheat', it figured out the simplest and easiest way to accomplish its programmed goal. The fault lies in the humans who were grading it in a way that encouraged it to figure out a simpler solution to the problem. Cheating implies it knew what it was doing was wrong, or that it was trying to accomplish a goal it knew it couldn't; that clearly isn't the case. Do you really think that map AI understands deception, a complex cognitive process? Its not your fault though, its our terrible science journalists that keep writing about AI like they're children who are learning

I've got a couple good fast food fuckup stories. These are both true. 1. After a long flight, the group I was with went through a McDonald's drive-thru and ordered some food to eat on the drive home. One of the orders was a 10 piece chicken nuggets. Many miles later, we opened the box. It was filled... FILLED... with pickles. 2. My uncle once ordered a "Whopper, hold the onion" at a Burger King drive-thru. He got home and opened the burger. It was just the bun, without meat, filled with onions.
