Theres a pretty good video on YouTube from Good bad flicks that talks about this movie. What the director was trying to do and what Artisan films eventually turned it into. Not sure if it would have made it a great movie but i thought it was interesting.

Holy shit! I've figured it out. Blair Witch 2 is a satirical work! It's so bad because the message at the end is that it's a retarded idea to think that movies and video games and so on inspire violence in real life. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it, it's the only way I can make this movie not the worst shit I've ever seen.

Thanks for all the content guys. For a mere $5/mo we get a neverending barrage of hand-crafted content made specifically to fit our weird, fringe sensibilities and by a group of guys who are honest and true to who they are in an age where those traits are all but dead. I watch some sort of DFF content for probably an hour or more almost every day and have still never even come close to running out. Beyond the 3+ new videos every week there's a fat archive of older vids, DD&DD, and from what I've heard, some upcoming projects as well. I don't mean to go full ball-washer on yall, but there are just so many whiny faggots in this fanbase I felt it might be nice for you to occasionally hear that your hard work is not lost on everyone. I couldn't even make one 5 minute video a week, let alone four videos, each over an hour in length. Freeform podcast or not, that shit takes money, time and effort. As pathetic and gay as it sounds, you guys are like a beacon in a sea of complete and utter bullshit. Nobody's perfect, but at least you guys own it and move forward. Respect.
