I like your use of capital letters in this. Not just Nouns, sometimes Adjectives.

These Trailers are not a symptom of Disney, but rather a clever marketing strategy that works really well. As one might notice (especially those who are film majors in this audience) there are particular patterns when it comes to Blockbuster Filmmaking (if you ever heard the term High Concept, this is what it's about). These Patterns (from my opinion at least) only exist for one reason, to make the Filmmaking Process as easy and smooth as possible. The Massive Downside comes from the fact that these movies feel too familiar and seriously lack inspiration (insert basic comment about Hollywood not having ideas here). These Legacy Distributors want to keep this Easy & Safe Pattern for their films in order to stay on top (although Disney seems to be the only company succeeding with this business practice). So what do they do? Make everything based around momentary hype! While you all complain about the original/prequel films being at the beginning of the film (and from a creative standpoint you should), it's actually really smart from a Momentary Hype Perspective. Most of the Audience Disney caters towards are Families (obviously) with Dads being the main target of Star Wars and Marvel Properties (Moms get the Oh so Lovely Remakes). Dads watch Star Wars, introduce it to his kids, and suddenly you've gained a new market. The idea is to create an ideal serial series that keeps the Fathers coming back while always making them search for more. A big reason why Most Modern Disney Films aren't as grand as they seem (in theory of course) is because they want you to feel Hungry once you leave, rather than Full and Satisfied. And when they poke at Nostalgia at you, they just make you hungrier. And it works.... To combat Disney's Practices (and I know the three pessimists don't want Disney to go down, but I do and I assume a lot of you do to) you have to re-introduce the idea of Discovery. A Big Reason why Film was such a popular commodity in the past was because it was awe-inspiring. And while it has always been Escapist in Nature (something I hope switches over to Expansive), it was about Discovery. Nobody wants to change this in Hollywood because business works best when it's all about False Hope & Empty Promises (sounds like another forum of hierarchy we are all accustomed towards). So it is up to us to vote with our dollar and find those who wants us to Discover rather than give it to those who puts their shoulders around a lazy blanket.

Hypnotic Visionaire

Still not a great trailer. I always reserve final judgement until I’ve seen the actual film. Ultimately, if the trailer’s job was to build hype for the film it seems to be falling short.

PESSIMIST PRODUCTIONS

That's not a trailer, it's just like a D23 expo thing.
