EARLY ACCESS: Bernie Sanders VS. Andrew Yang

You get first dibs because you are loved. Feel the love. Feel the purity.
I don't trust politicians, I don't care if people label me a fence sitter, all of these cunts are in it for political power. I sincerely think that they pander to the masses and won't do any of the things they promised. As for Burnie, I think that socialist ideology is trash, social-democracy is way better. We don't need the government telling us how to do everything, we just need propper regulations on liquid assets. Even then I have no issues with capitalism, my family immigrated to US from Russia and I am infinitely thankful for the privilege of being born here. My friends in Russia are poor and unable to climb socially due to corruption. I know America and capitalism aren't perfect but I'd leave this country in an instant if Burnie won (depending on if he passes his ideas into law or not) . Over all my ideology boils down to America for American people, health care and social safety nets but that does not equal socialism, thare are reasons I could go into by my main issue I don't think that I have to sacrifice my right to private property. I think that individuals know better how to use their property to produce value. (more often than not)

honestly i think it depends on the source whether or not they are intentionally misleading you. The problem with disinformation though is that some people can parrot it and unintentionally feed you lies, which i see as just as dangerous as intentionally lying. Both end in the same result. Even DFF has a certain bias/slant to most things they present, the only difference is that i mostly agree with their biases therefore creating a case of confirmation bias. It's important to take every piece of information that you see with a grain of salt. The big issue in the age of the internet though is the sheer amount of information coming at you all the time. It is quite literally impossible to fact check everything you read and i think it results in a less informed populace even though there is more information readily available.

I don't know many things about politics. It's very tangled when I try to dissect it. Maybe because articles always have an opinion. Is it intentionally confusing so that people give up, or is it just a biproduct of so many ideas and visions colliding and trying to form something semi-functional? I just wish.. well I wish that wishing for something made it so, but I wish that people would just look out for one another more. I see greed as such a detriment to humanity as a whole. It's sick. This hoarding of power particularly when, if they gave a lot of it up, their lifestyle basically wouldn't change. What do you think the ceiling is for wealth? Where it stops mattering how much you have? All I can think that's different for billionaires is the ability to start a space program cause they're bored, or build an actual castle on an island somewhere idk..

If we get Yang and his UBI, will our taxes go up to help pay for it? Where’s the money gonna come from? Ending corporate welfare? Reducing the military budget? Higher taxes on outsourcing? Just curious. I like the guy but has he answered this?

I agree that Bernie should be leading the Democratic party. I think something that is overlooked is that the man knows how things work in Washington and will be able to get bills passed through because of his many years in both Congress and the Senate. Yang on the other hand probably wouldn't be able to get things passed as fast or at all because of his lack of experience

I think the main concern that we should all watch out for and that you should point out wherever you can is the active effort by both the supposedly "liberal" CNN and MSNBC networks to discredit Bernie!!! Both networks are also pushing Biden down our throats and those who think they're getting objective liberal news from these two networks or NPR on the radio are flat out wrong. Other than yourself and DFF, Sam Seder, Kyle Kulinski, Mike Figueredo, Jimmy Dore, Noam Chomsky, Thom Hartmann, David Pakman, TYT, Richard Wolff, and Ralph Nader, all have excellent YouTube content that I have been following since 2016 and offer views on politics, US foreign policy, and the history of capitalism in this country that your viewers will never hear on television corporate-owned mainstream media. I personally am thinking of volunteering for work with the Bernie Sanders campaign here in Iowa City, Iowa. Having lived in Europe for 20 years, I know that socialized medicine is not a pie-in-the-sky idea. It exists all over Europe, but the MSM continually fear mongers that this would be a disaster for America. We will suddenly turn communist, there will be gulags, death panels, etc. It is so sad that Winston Churchill is right once again in that America does the right thing eventually, once we've tried everything else. It sure takes a while - kinda like getting rid of slavery. America the slo-poke. It is perverse that America doesn't long since have medicare for all like all other respectable industrialized nations long since have and your young viewers need to know that. Biden, Buttigieg, Harris, and O'Rourke believe too much in the incrementalist approach to healthcare and, if elected, are the most likely to sell the American people out exactly for this reason. Buyer beware!

Nice video, TJ! I pretty much agree with you though I don't know enough about Andrew Yang's other policies for saving America from corporatism and the Republicans other than his proposed UBI.

First of all, voting for who best suits your sensibilities is the whole point of "democracy". You can't give your vote to someone unless you vote for them. You're making the exact argument Hillary people make against Bernie/non-voters. It is the politician's responsibility to garner the votes by becoming stronger and MORE viable. Your logic is what ultimately gave us all these shit ass democrats.
Second, I keep seeing people totally believing all the polls all over again as if the media wasn't bombarding us with bullshit polls the entire 2016 election cycle. I remember them putting up graphs that look almost exactly the same that had Hillary at above a 90% chance to win. It's total fabricated garbage. The establishment has already decided the election results, because we don't really have a democracy. Now it's their job to craft a believable narrative of a "tight race" in the Dem party and spread it through the corporate media. Again, this is 2016 all over again and it worked like a charm, because now we have everyone going around saying Joe Biden is the front-runner and Bernie is in third place behind the weakest candidate and a Hillary Clinton doppelganger. It's kinda beautiful. Whatever they want to be reality becomes a reality. That's why we're getting Trump 2020 bro

Bernie's policies about medicare for all and other so called "entitelement programs" isn't something new and radical As a Belgian medicare for all has existed for as long as I lived.

While I would be completely happy with Yang in office, voting for him is giving your vote to Trump. Bernie is the progressive pick who at least has a chance here. And even he is in what, 3rd place right now?

From Yangs rhetoric I get the feeling that he wants to fix toxic contingencies in capitalism and society in general. People (including yang himself) always talk about UBI. But, they never talk about how he wants to get rid of GDP as a measurement of success. He wants the government and himself to be measured by other valued outcomes, such as health and education. I don't really see such insight from Bernie. He kind of is rebranding the 'other people are bad' argument. In reality people are going to behave according to what the environment encourages and discourages. To just say x people are evil and we need to stop, doesn't mean you are addressing why they became evil to begin with. Yang, on the other does seem to be have a better grasp on this. He sees that people who live in poverty are more prone to criminal behavior, so how about we try to get rid of poverty. Notice, he doesn't say 'these impoverished are evil we need to stop them'.

Yang is definitely on my radar. Bernie seems like the obvious choice, I'd think of Warren, but she's too corporate for this landscape.

The rich being in power in a capitalist society isn't a bug, its a feature. You have to keep a constant vigilance against them using the system to empower themselves and subjugate the poor.
If you really want America to change for the better we need to change the damn system.
Bernie all the way!
