Man, I'm just on the polar opposite end from the entire rest of the Star Wars fandom when it comes to Last Jedi. Personally I thought Force awakens was entertaining, but ultimately forgettable, I felt the trailer for the movie was stronger than the movie itself. no I'm not going to sit here and pretend that Last Jedi is a solidly good movie, but personally I think everything involving Luke, as well as pretty much the entire finale, is some of the strongest material in the entire saga. If the whole film had been on that level, I think I would have to rank it just below New Hope.

this 11 year old girl being assaulted by cops man, something similar happened to me. i was about to walk out of the school and some teachers made a wall in front of me. i lightly put my hand on a shoulder "excuse me" and what not. the teachers walk away suddenly uninterested and the cop was waiting outside. i was not beaten but i was cuffed, taken home. charged with harrassment and had to go to court at 14. might have gone differently had i been black.

I had to comment again because of something Paul said about Krokodil which shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the problem. The people we saw in videos online who's bodies were rotting from the inside out from that shit, was not caused by the drug Desomorphine, which has been used safely for over 100 years. The damage is caused from people cooking this stuff up in their kitchens in Russia, because heroin is hard to find. They cook it up with gasoline and other toxic shit, then inject themselves. I wonder why they had problems, they were injecting gasoline into their bodies. Sorry Paul, your argument is flawed.

Is there a way to get a youtube link to these? On mobile, the mp3 is cut up and bad, and with the video, you have to stay on the shitty patreon video player and can't turn off screen or switch apps. On some other podcast patreons, it works more smoothly, there's an audio player that can be played well outside of apps and stuff. Pls, I paid $5 for this and I'd like to continue it if this is fixed

I'm glad you guys stated your opinions on TLJ. It was a complete embarrassment of a film in almost every respect, minus the undeniably good soundtrack and striking visuals...it's just dogshit. MauLer did an amazing 3 part video breaking The Last Jedi down, and really destroys any narrative that could be brought up for the film being objectively good. You can like it, but you cant say it's well written. The new protagonist's only flaw is that she's too fucking perfect. How the fuck can anyone relate to that shit? It's beyond hilarious to me that this "trilogy" is essentially Rey defeating the most boring villain in all of Star Wars, Kylo Ren 3 fucking times in a row. Wow guys, that's compelling shit. Hopefully JJ doesn't make the problem even worse, but the guy has NEVER been able to pay anything off EVER. He can set up some great mysteries, but has no idea how to make a satisfying payoff. Does anyone remember Lost?

I have always liked the prequels, despite their flaws. Well, maybe not The Phantom Menace. But 2 and 3 are a lot of fun, about on par with Return of The Jedi, although that movie does have an edge on the the 2nd prequel film. Anyway, I thought we had pretty much hit rock bottom with the prequels. I was glad Revenge of the Sith turned out to be decent. But I was also glad it was over so we didn't get any more Jar Jar whiny Anakin. I was excited for the sequels, because how could it be any worse than Phantom Menace? Well, they were. I have since gained more respect for the prequels than I thought I could have. Even for Phantom Menace. They at least feel like Star Wars films and do justice to the characters and plot as a cohesive overall story. The sequels? They feel like imitations of Star Wars and have ruined the arc for the first 6 films as well as the characters included. Luke is absolutely destroyed in my eyes. Can't unsee. I hope JJ pulls it back together and sends us off with a completed story that at least somewhat redeems the first two abominations. I am not holding my breath. At this point, I am looking forward only to Mandalorian and Obi-Wan series. At least they will have a lot of time to tell their stories. TV is really where it's at these days.

Jared Leto is also awful as a musician. His band Thirty Seconds To Mars makes some of the most basic aloof shit you’ve ever heard. They make Imagine Dragons & Coldplay look deep by compassion (although luckily for them, still aren’t as bad as Nickelback). My old gym used to play Thirty Seconds to Mars all the time. I had a few months where I didn’t have any headphones, so I always heard the fake sincerity in their voices. Jared Leto is a terrible artist all around. And to go back on Requiem For A Dream, it was aronofsky that made that work. Not only were there other actors who are generally bad that did a great job in that film (Jennifer Connolly & Marlon Wayans), but his movies all have bad actors who do a good job (maybe with the exception of his rendition of Noah). Natalie Portman & Mika Kunis have always been mediocre actresses with a few good performances. But their performances in Black Swan would make them seem like they are the greatest of our generation. The Director made the actors, not the other way around.
