try to work for the government, I am a custodian for the school district making 25.60 an hour, lots of time off, protected by a strong union with good safety conditions. Custodians and other departments always tend to need subs. I am so sorry for what you had to go though I can't believe that is acceptable in America.

Ok..This is not related in ANY way to this video..But I was browsing Etsy while listening to this and saw that Sargon of Akkad did nude-esque posing for some photographer to sell. We really do live in the fucked up dimension.

i had the same problem, work in a loading dock for about 4 months and i pulled my back the wrong way, tho i was smart enough to quit before it got worse, when i started having back problems i reported it and they made up a bunch of excuses why they would not cover me and i was not going to ruin my life over this so i quit right there, these jobs were made for robots and if you plan on taking these jobs be prepared to quit the moment you think your back giving out

I was saddened by the story you told here and angered at the cowardice of your former employer to treat you so unfairly. I shudder to imagine how common your story is throughout the world. Your story is another reason why we need medicare for all in America, as there have been workplace injuries to workers at least since the Egyptians were building pyramids for some rich pharaoh. As far as your health goes, do you know that fasting has been said to have positive results for chronic pain? I'll include a link to a website on the benefits of fasting: https://www.healthpromoting.com/learning-center/article-learning-centers/benefits-fasting. I'm dead serious here as I've studied this a little myself in the last few months, but fasting can definitely help with many chronic conditions and is free! Your body can be very good at healing itself of many things if it's not preoccupied with digesting food everyday. For more information on fasting, you could check out Cole Robinson at snakediet.com, or YouTube videos from Dr. Jason Fung or Dr. Mindy Peltz online. The main thing for you now is to get your health back, it's not about dieting or fasting in order to lose weight. I hope this information helps you out and that you get back in as good a shape as you were before that terrible warehouse job. Good luck to you!

I worked in a warehouse for less than a year. Within the first 6 months I injured my back from repetitive lifting of 50lb boxes from pallets literally just sitting on the floor. So bending and lifting 50lbs hundreds of times a day. Eventually I strained my back (as do more than 50% of their employees at some point during their employment, the average length of which is less than 2 years), but because it technically happened outside of work, they wouldn't cover the missed time. I had to use all my sick time and all my vacation time, which amounted to about a week and a half, and then they threatened me that if I missed a single day after my time ran out they'd fire me and just find someone else. So because I didn't have a better option I was forced to work through my injury for an additional two months before it worsened to the point where I was unable to continue performing the job. When I went to HR, HR reported me to upper management. I was cornered by the vp of distribution, the vp of sales, and the vp of hr in a conference room where all three of them basically interrogated me while recording everything I said so that any verbal slip-ups could be used against me should I choose to take the issue to court. I just wanted acknowledgement and to help improve the situation before I left and could never afford a lawyer anyways, but they basically grilled me for like an hour. Their excuse was that although equipment necessary to allow safe lifting wasn't actually mentioned, and no one had ever seen it, and we always got bitched at for doing anything nonproductive, which includes taking necessary safety precautions like raising pallets off the ground before moving 45x 50lbs boxes by hand to a different fucking pallet, the option had ALWAYS BEEN THERE and it was up to us to be responsible for our own safety. We saw a 5 minute video about "this is how you should lift" then put in a situation where lifting like that is impossible, but our health and safety were entirely our responsibility. Injuries go underreported in that industry because employers take measures that aren't TECHNICALLY punitive in a legal sense, but are absolutely 100% fucking punitive, so nobody reports injuries or safety hazards. Enter honest hard-working guy who cares about his and his coworkers' safety, and suddenly every glaring flaw is THAT GUY'S fault. Fuck me. I had to quit. And I've been living with chronic pain for the almost 6 months since. It's not really improving and I can't afford/don't have access to the medical care needed to properly recover. I'm 23 and will likely be in chronic pain for a large chunk of my adult life in exchange for 8 months of work at fifteen bucks an hour. And I worked hard, too, that's what's so pathetic. My dad once said to me "If I'm destined to be a shit-shoveler, I'm at least gonna do it right." My response was "Well, you're gonna get pretty good at shoveling shit then." I'm not shoveling any more shit. I'd rather die, and I mean that. Fuck this wretched system in which we're nothing but disposable batteries powering some rich fuck's diamond-studded watch. But they'll always win. There's nothing we can do. The best hope for humanity during the coming climate crisis is that the ultra-wealthy become immortal gods or AI-infused cyborgs before the rest of us filthy commoners die of starvation or sickness or thirst. That, or a benevolent AI overthrows all worls govermments, nukes 90% of the population of the planet out of existence, and then establishes a vibrant resource-based paradise, perfect and untouchable by the evils of the human mind. Most likely we'll just all die and these fucks will get the be the last ones around. Makes me so damn mad...we should at least get to see heads roll before civilization collapses back into primordial chaos, but nooooo. Fuckin Bill Gates just has to have his...what does he use his money for again? OH THAT'S RIGHT, NOTHING. THEY JUST HOARD WEALTH LIKE FUCKING TREASURE GOBLINS. HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE TO ANYONE??? WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!

okay Schools tell the kids a watered down history when they are in elementary schools and some basic shit, but once you take US history in Middle school you get more informed and if you pay attention in high school you’ll come out with a decent understanding of the history and what we did right and what we fucked up
