So, for some reason, people are actually interested in my routine, so here's a look at a typical work out. I was thinking that I might record one every month to sort of mark progress.

Bud form takes time, you’ll get there, just keep at it. The main advice anyone should offer is when you get bored of the workouts, don’t stop and fall off the wagon. Stick with it, it’s too easy for a short break to become a retirement haha. Just proud of your efforts man, keep it up

Keep it up TJ kudos man! I burnt off a bunch of fat and turned it into muscle doing the same thing man. Cardio is so lame I could never do it for more than 10 mins, lighting weights was just enough to make it bearable. I never had a 6 pack but I feel great!

Perfect form is pretty overrated anyway. Depending on your form you'll get 90%-100% efficient productivity vs 0% by not even trying. Form really only counts if you're lifting serious weight, so you don't hurt yourself. But as long as your low-weight lifts aren't uncomfortable on your joints or tendons, I wouldn't worry about it.

Losing fat is tough man. It takes a lot of dedication and discipline especially when food is such an easy comfort. That said, you'll lose that weight in no time if you keep at it. Just focus on eating better and exercising regularly.

Even though it's not my place to be - I'm proud of you. It seems you really are commited and already have decent form. Do you already feel stronger, more energetic and overal better? I found that before I gained muscle, I gained energy. That's what pulled me through the first boring weeks until it became a hobby. Like you I focus on strenght training rather than cardio (I'm slightly overweight) and found that Fuscularity is indeed the way to go. Godspeed TJ. Waiting for episode 2.

I use cannabis and good music to make workouts fun. Getting high really offers a sense of flow and a loss of sense in space and time. Makes push ups fun.

It's definitely a great thing that you are working out but damn you better watch doing that too close to your tv. You never know when you might pull a muscle or pinch a nerve or even just push yourself too far and accidentally lose your grip on the weight. I hope you keep it up and definitely pay attention to your form so you don't have joint and spinal injuries later. For real if you don't make sure that your form and posture are good early on you can really fuck yourself up when you get into heavier weights.

Great workout! 1 thing. The horizontal press you’re doing isn’t effective accordning to Newton’s laws. And I say that from the perspective of someone who’s worked out regularily for ten years. Everything else was acceptable or better though, and the technique of your dumbbell chest press looked really good. You’ve got a great basic build, so the results will most likely be impressive!

Good job man. I'd recommend you look into an adjustable set of dumbbells if you plan on continuing to do a home gym - a set of Powerblocks will save you a lot of money in the long run.

Nice TJ! Consistency is everything, keep grinding and you'll be fuscular in no time! And if you're getting serious about the gym I suggest you do a PPL split. (Push, Pull, Legs then rest) Also check out Jeff Nippards youtube. He has quality videos for beginners and cites academic research when suggesting the best exercises based on your fitness goals. Get those newbie gains!

Anything is better than nothing, good work! I dieted back in the DP days and lost 80lbs, size 18 to 6, all because of you guys, you can do it too!! With portion control and exercise the weight will fall off you, keep it up!

Honestly not bad man, your bench form is actually pretty on point. Only suggestion would be to lighten up on the shoulder exercises, maybe cut out the front vertical raises— you’ve got that muscle group more than covered with everything else. On your lateral (side) shoulder raises, only go to shoulder level because anything above that can lead to shoulder impingement, especially as a beginner. But man, fuck yea and keep up the work! Stay consistent and results shall come!

Hell yeah! I'm down 12lbs since the beginning of November, gave up red meats, beer, and soda on the weekdays and add 1 minute a week to my workout (stationary bike)

This is awesome! Would recommend sweatpants as opposed to jeans for mobility purposes (especially on squats and leg raises) but if you're comfortable that's what matters. Keep at it and you'll be super strong before you know it
