Honestly, I feel like it could be a little more fleshed out in terms of the tiers. Maybe spreading out certain perks you get in the Buffet into smaller and intermediate tiers. That's mainly what was putting me off to the Patreon for a little while. Each Tier is perk rich, but not varient. I personally don't like Highdeology and only use the Patreon for the main show and Abandon Hope, so I feel like I'm paying for extra things I don't want. And I'm sure everyone has their preferences. Making tiers for different shows would be something I'd personally love to see.

Love the content, but there’s almost no offline options for it. I usually listen to the audio, and having YouTube open throughout on weak cellular data isn’t very efficient. I was able to download content from Vimeo and audio links, but those aren’t really options anymore. I’d be happy with consistent audio links to provide an offline alternative.

Overall I like almost everything you guys put out, but if you want some minor nitpicks, here you go: finding older stuff on Patreon is a major pain in the ass, more consistent audio links, more static images during shows (I don’t watch too often but it always annoys me when I do and the same picture is up for 10+ minutes), and an extra movie every once in a while would be nice (maybe come up with a list between yourselves and let people vote on which one they want you guys to watch).

The quality of the content has gone down. I enjoyed the episodes about contemporary figures (Mike Meyers/ Dana Carvey, Ben Shapiro) because you guys were able to have strong opinions about those topics; the episodes that suck are, for example, the Testicles episode, which was like viewing a middleschooler's powerpoint presentation full of info mostly taken from wikipedia. The show is best when it revolves around you and your onscreen personalities, and less about random information that you're reading off the internet.

I voted for the second phase, and I must say that the output is incredible. Easily the best on Patreon. Here’s what I would do though to make it better. First and foremost, I think it would be great for you to give weekly updates about the episodes coming up on Monday/Friday to $5 patrons. $10 ones generally get a video showcasing your monthly schedule (though we haven’t seen one in a while) but the surprise attack doesn’t work when these episodes are only twice a week and we are all busy. I would have loved to known that last weeks Friday episode would have just been a bantersode back on that Monday so I could have ignored it & focus on other things that night. But this applies to the episodes I want to watch as well. My schedule isn’t the most open in the world, and knowing what to look forward to (or not look forward to) would help me out as a fan. Not to mention, it would be a good advertisement on your Monday show to tell everybody what your Friday show will be about. Next, is Abandon Hope. I am very happy that this is coming back (especially since some of the episodes include the other pessimists) and it’s been good for far. But it isn’t great, and I think there’s a couple reasons for this. First and foremost, you don’t give anybody any ideas about the kind of content you are looking for. So when we send links, it always seems like you are just randomly picking out of the rough. This might seem okay, but a lot of the content just revolves around basic retreads of shit you have said a thousand times before. And as cool as some people in this fan base can be, the community as a whole does like to share the same stories & get the same reactions from you three (remember Brett Keane anybody). Even if that is what the fans genuinely want (and honestly, I just think a lot of your fans aren't thinking or researching), this isn’t sustainable. And you’ll run yourself into a Drunken-Peasants esque situation where you just make the same show week after week (which isn’t fun for anybody else). Down below is what I would do. Only do Abandon Hope every two weeks. Give everybody a clear date (or time window) as to when this will premiere. Say a general theme that you are interested in when we are searching for stories (it can be vague but it should have some consistency). Then have a cut-off date about 3-5 days before the release date so you can properly vet out the stories and create the best show possible. Speaking of which, I think it would be a brilliant idea if you had different shorter videos that discussed particular ideas. In fact, if I was in charge, I would have you all get a new video up everyday discussing something. An example would be a 15 minute on a Tuesday discussing trailers or a 25 minute Video on a Saturday discussing what Paul would do if he was able to create the perfect democratic candidate. I know this is a lot of work though, so maybe one or two a week would work. But I think it would be a great idea since you can give more content out & discuss other ideas that can’t be done on the main show. It would also give us more content, which is always a win-win. The last thing you should all do is sell the idea of event episodes. As much as I hated DP back in the day, the event episodes were always exciting. And the 24 hour episode of DFF was something I looked forward to and appreciated. You don’t have to make the event episodes about length, but maybe focus them on theme and spending more money. For example, make a Quarterly Series (once every Four Months) about food in a certain region. You can make it 6-8 hours, hire a chef, give us ingredients so that we can cook aside with you all and have a meaty (pun intended) episode about the History of a Place through their food. If this is not what you want though, the idea of a Quarterly Event Episode is a good idea that your fans will love and will get you more press. All in all, you are doing a great job but improvement is always something to strive towards. I think the biggest flaw is that you guys are stuck with the same audience you had 2 Years Ago, and can’t really get any new fans. But you give us longtime fans a lot of content to watch, and I appreciate it. Regardless of what you do, keep it up and never give up the hustle.

Honestly, the Yang hit peice turned me off from the show. Clearly Paul just didn't want to think about the subject and turned out garbage. It was a show I was honestly pumped for, but it ended being kind of low effort. With that said. I think you guys should get a writer to help you out. That way you guys could work on your characters more. I think it would be cool if you had a little more format to the show. A TJ opening monologue, then introduction to the topic, jokes, a debate (serious or funny) about the topic, then some kind of closing. Maybe even throw movie review in there. Just do something that all parties are enthusiastic about, because nthe low effort shows are shit.

Problem is, this is one of those things where I don't know what I want other than something fresh. When this started, I never knew what video would come out. It went from Snake cults to debates on batman Vs James bond with a stage 5 hurricane to DD&DD. Like the show structure itself was always changing. Some ideas didn't always land but then I'd argue that some of these latest videos like deformities 2, and celebrities who got fat aren't landing for me anyway. I'd rather you took the risk to try a new interesting concept than making an easy throw away subject.

I know i might be a minority on this, but i really don't care for the movie commentaries (i'm much more of a gamer than someone who watches movies) nor do i watch Abandon hope (perhaps i don't find the idea of the show - to deliberately seek out the most aggrevating/depressing stuff to be that compelling). The D&D stuff still makes me choose the "Love the patreon, but it can be improved" for that stuff (especially when you guys really get into the role playing aspect) is a ton of fun! I feel like even more diversity of content (maybe come up with more frequent special events - e.g. i'm thinking of something like the Wheel of misfortune from DP) would be better for the show for I am kinda tired of the wikipedia esque narration of facts (with the occasional silly banter thrown in it) that some of the shorter topic focused episodes are (this seems to me be especially true with Scotty's episode).

I love it but I have some complaints, I like the podcast and love abandon hope, I don't like the TJ and Paul live streams I think they are cringy and lame, I've tried to sit through them but it's always just an hour of meandering borning nonsense while people spam poopballs and other dead dp memes in the chat. What I wish I could see more of is Dank D&D, More Movie Reviews, More Movie watching, And most of all above all else, I want to see more episodes of Paul watching DS9. I love the podcast so I have little to complain about here, my favorite episode is the Elron Hubbard one, and I in general like the episodes that cover crazy historical figures. The Joseph Smith one was a really good episode. I know there are a lot of people (both inside and the plebs outside of Patreon) who talk about wanting more and longer shows - but I personally go in almost the opposite direction; I wish you guys would invest more time in a single show, and just do less of them. They don’t necessarily need to be ‘longer,’ and I have no idea if this idea would actually pay off in the end, but I do get the impression that the early episodes of DFF (like the first year) had a lot more emotional investment and excitement on your guy’s end than most of the episodes that are pumped out now. Each one felt more ‘unique,’ I still enjoy them when they come out, but it’s honestly getting to the point where I don’t even remember most of the episodes you guys are making nowadays a few weeks after they come out, and most of the episodes most codified in my memory banks were definitely the earlier ones. To me, that’s a sign of something Now, I am hyper-actively aware that I am probably in the vast minority of fans when I say I’d prefer more dedicated episodes, at the expense of less episodes.

I’ve been a Patreon since the very beginning and the last few months have been the best it’s been. Several abandon hopes per month, streams, different content, etc makes the 5 dollars a no brainer. In previous months doing the abandon hope at the end of the month felt rushed and almost like you didn’t want to do it.

First of all love the content, but always room for improvement. Would be nice to have a more comprehensive archive. I know you have the archive post and we can scroll through but is a bit cumbersome. Something that has a search function would be a big improvement. I know there are paid solutions that you could utilize. But that really comes down to what you can budget. For ddndd it would be cool if you had an overlay that had the map of the area, the battleground etc. Maybe listing of stats when it's a user's turn. Show the rolls etc. Another thing I'd love to see is a variety of new types of content, do a surprise wildcard show, where every month is a little different. Last, please offer offline play, I listen on my commute every day... I don't know just a few ideas off the top of my head.

I was a patron of cinemaforcynics in the past, and as long as I get at least a movie commentary per month, where one or all of you guys are miserable then I’m happy. I watch all the rest of the content and enjoy enough of it to keep on watching for the foreseeable future. I love flash fried and the movie trailer reactions y’all did recently. I love abandon hope and the highdeology type content. I probably prefer the banter episodes and the pre-post show more than most actual show topics. There’s is just no way to please everyone with the show topics, some are pure garbage in my opinion but that’s all subjective.

I haven't been feeling the DFF episodes lately but they're just not for me. I don't care about vag or balls, though I'll probably watch them anyways - but this isn't really a complaint and I'm more than happy supporting you guys. I love the banter, flash fried, and abandon hope which segways into my complaint. It is minor and I'm not entirely sure what the cause is but abandon hope seems to be where you struggle the most. Getting it out on time or within the frame you give. The very nature of abandon hope relies on crowdsourcing information and I'm not sure you'll always have the material for it. I fully understand that, for sure, but sometimes it feels like you don't give a fuck. I certainly don't blame you as a lazy fat piece of shit myself. If you're looking for feedback though that is where I'd say you can improve the show. Also, Cinema for Cynics is one of the main reasons I support the show. So having more content even if its just 15 minutes of Paul going over stuff like he did with the Hellraiser series would be dope. Now, I don't expect the channel to be a review channel or anything close to that. It would just be my personal preference to see more of that because while I can get that sort of shit anywhere it is your personalities and how you do things that I find most appealing about it. Otherwise great shit and well done. I recently switched to 10 dollars so I get the pre-post show which really scratches that flash fried/banter itch and I'll definitely be supporting you guys moving forward. I'd also just like to say I understand if the cinema for cynics content isn't viable because of the workload you guys are taking on. I can't say I really know how much of a load that is but it doesn't seem like running this podcast is the easiest shit on the planet so I'm willing to overestimate the load on yall.

Enjoying the show and episodes but I would like to see indivdual patreons throw out one suggestion each for an episode then you could put all of the suggestions in a barrel and draw one out every month and do an episode based on their suggestion. I know you've done polls in the past but it at least gives each patreon a (minimal) chance to see their dream episode come to fruition. It'd be even better if you did a whole month of patreon suggestion episodes.

I love it. It would be nice to have an archive website where everything can be easily found. I know you guys have aimed for this type of thing in the past, and hopefully one day it will be a thing. Maybe you guys can shoot for getting this in 2020. Other than that, I'd say it would be cool if all content came out on a consistent schedule, like the main show. (Like a new movie commentary on the 15th of every month, etc)

I like the format of the typical DFF podcast, but it would be great to break the pattern and have a guest on the show once in a while. Though a show with a guest would probably be better for a pleb-inclusive show and not patron only.

Pretty much the same as the other guys comments. Am a new patron but have hated using the Patreon interface since day one. The main reason why I became a patron was because there were certain episodes that I wanted to watch (the Psychedelics episode for example) and I had to scroll for what seemed like forever to get to that specific episode. Even then, if I leave the page and come back later on then I usually lose the video and need to scroll back to it. The content is perfectly fine but the way Patreon does their interface can be pretty annoying at times

Someone you guys post to Vimeo, which I understand why you would do that but Vimeo is not as useful as the YouTube app etc. Example, since your shows are often 2+ hours long and I listen in pieces and YouTube remembers where I left off, but Vimeo does not. Basically don't post exclusive to Vimeo, and your older content, which I would love to listen to is either only in audio or Vimeo which is less than ideal Great stuff though, I'm glad to be a patrone

I love the content and everything, the only thing that is annoying to me is I like to watch on my phone, and if I go out of the patreon app for two seconds to respond to a text or something, it refreshes the page and I lose my place in the video and have to find it again.

So could you please link all of your episodes in the patreon feed, including the plebisodes? That way I dont have to go to the buffet for the main feast and then also go to the shitty wendy's across the street for dessert.

I just really like the movie reviews and would like if the schedule on which they were released was more standardized. That's the only thing, so very little. the only problem i've had with the patreon in its entire lifespan is sometimes when Flash Fried clips had come out, the full episode wasn't available here until way later, but that was so minor

It is sometimes tricky to get to a Patrons Only episode that happened a long time ago, it would be much easier to either be able to search for an episode directly or have them ordered in a way where you don’t have to scroll down for 2 minutes straight to get to that older content
