Cops Breaking the Law and Paradoxes

Going LIVE @ 8 pm ET! https://youtu.be/2BV3khF4jRs

Law enforcement officers are supposed to uphold the rules and set an example, but too often they're complete hypocrites. We also look into the curious contradictions in philosophy, the economy, and more.

This kinda misunderstands the raven paradox. A contrapositive is true if and only if the original implication is true, so in this case both the statements we're discussing are presumed to be true. The "paradox" is that if anecdotal experience is cited as evidence for the implication, then the same must be true for the contrapositive. In simpler terms, if you say "I've found a black raven" and take it as evidence that "all ravens are black" is true, then "I've found a red car" is also evidence for "all ravens are black" because it is evidence for its contrapositive, which is true if and only if the implication is. Basically, it's not a paradox because these examples are really evidence for a universal statement, more evidence that does not disprove the implication, so there is no issue with saying "I've found a red car" does not disprove "all ravens are black". This brain teaser really just preys on a lack of understanding of formal logic.
