Socialism is a dead ideology. The workers cannot organize to create a better society for themselves because they all want different things and the means of how those things are acquire those things. In the end you end up with splinter groups of people with their own ideologies and values. The fallacy in socialist thinking is that workers value the same thing. We don't. I'm a worker and I value traditional familial structures, I don't accept someone's mental disorder as a legitimate act of self expression, in fact I blame a lot of the current social instability on progressives and Marxists, but more to the point I fail to see how socialism would not just turn people into slaves to the commodities they produce. The biggest problem in every socialist is that they take certain aspects for granted while criticizing the bits and pieces that actually keep people cooperating. For instance, I'm an incel who can never and will never have a girlfriend. Why would I care about the well being of other women when I know that they all either hate me or are as indifferent to me as I am to them now? It's those aspects of social bondage what keeps societies together and why progressive ideas have always led to periods of crisis. It happened in Athens under Clisthenes, it happened in Rome under Augustus, and in Russia under Lenin. There will always be a stark contrast between how the people govern themselves and how the theoreticians think they ought to be governed.

They always have a lot of initiatives going on to push back against theorcracy.
