Paul gives his thoughts after finishing Breaking Bad, American education is failing, Boomer memes, Highdeology gets banned, answering incels, and more!

It is sort of crazy how Breaking Bad was perceived when it was on lol. And I can see not really liking the show in retrospect because of that. But just perceiving the show as it ACTUALLY is: a deep dive into watching what Pride + Insecurity does to this smart-but-stupid man and his life... idk I think it's so fucking good lol. Skyler and Walt both sort of suffer from pride... Anyway, after watching Better Call Saul I retroactively liked Breaking Bad even more, I thing Gilliam's crew is just really really good at writing interesting characters. They're not making broad statements about humans, they're just writing about really complex, flawed characters, and just some fun exaggerated characters. And BCS makes Walt look like even more of a COMPLETE dipshit lmao, I loved it. I think Paul would prob enjoy BCS for that alone.

I think watching Breaking Bad week to week and talking with everyone I knew about what we thought would happen is what made me enjoy it so much. I doubt I would have enjoyed it if I saw it all in a month or so, and it's why I wouldn't recommend it to anyone nowadays.

TJ mentioned that not all people who dress up in drag are LGBT.
I was in a punk band named MoM and we would dress in drag and cross dress and throw fake blood and pudding at our audiences. One of our bigger inspirations was John Waters films. House shows were a hell of a lot of fun but usually we weren’t allowed to come back ha

Idk half of the Sopranos were insufferable characters. Tony was an annoying narcissist with high BPD tendencies and turned himself into the victim for everything. His wife was also insufferable in how she treated the kids and both of their 2 kids were highly arrogant and spoiled Rich kids with a victim complex.

I did like it, I just feel like it ran out of gas before it ended. I had a hard time sympathizing with any of the characters, especially the main cast. I’m glad I watched it.

he’ll definitely prefer Better Call Saul, more of the characters he likes being fleshed out.
