Hopefully it will be a good transitionary period towards something like nuclear fusion power where we can finally harness the power of the sun.

Chernobyl was a result of an outdated reactor being pushed to the breaking point by a site supervisor who didn't give two shits about safety. Even in the HBO series, they made a point of saying how had they not intentionally violated every single safeguard and failsafe, the explosion wouldn't have occured. Worst case scenario for nuclear is a few-hundred square miles are contaminated. Best case scenario for coal is the entire world is contaminated. Of course nuclear isn't 100% safe, but it's our safest bet regarding an energy-to-cost ratio.

Ancient Egypt was 4,000 years ago. What right does anyone have to to risk it? Then, there's the waste. They have to think of a way to communicate to people thousands of years in the future not dig at waste storage sites if civilization collapses. Language evolves quickly. If we went back in time only 600 years, we wouldn't understand the English language. It's just not ethically sound in my opinion.
