Once you set the precedent that it's OK to do that, it gets expanded to other groups. Soon you'd see religious people who are anti-gay (not that I agree with them) or anti-trans getting snatched up in the streets, then you'd see it go from there. It's opening a pandoras box of political precedence that's dangerous. It's exactly the kind've tactics the Third Reich employed, and the bottom line is eventually they'd be knocking on your door, looking for you, or your friends, or your family, and it all seems like a grand idea until you and yours are on the chopping block. To quote Star-Trek, "With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably." It never stops with one group. It happened in the French Revolution. It happened in Nazi Germany. It happened in the Soviet Union. It's happened across countless societies. The only thing targeting these groups would do is cause more radicalization and cause them to burrow further underground and form even tighter enclaves and echo chambers.

All of the people on the school board also got raises recently but paying more to bus drivers and hiring more with a pay increase is out of the question. 🙄
