A group of chickadees is called a "banditry" because they have the little black Zoro masks. They're cozy enough with humans to be willing to eat seeds from random people's hands. If you spend time around them, a rowdy group of bandits seems fitting. They're advanced at communicating as groups and yelling "FIVE-O" when predatory birds come around. So groups of chickadees create very safe areas for a large variety of cool little birds. They always have friends following the party. I got harassed by one once, held up my hand to see if it'd land on it, and it did. No seed, just checking me out. Then a dozen more took turns landing on my hand, beanie, or shoulder, just chilling. Best birb.

2023-08-23 17:45:03 +0000 UTC@Paul I think your disturbance is the result of a combination of three factors, A.) high emotional intelligence which causes you to feel empathy when you'd rather be detached, B.) insulating yourself from the outside world (and thus any possible positivity that can be yielded therefrom), and C.) the fact that when you DO expose yourself to the outside world it's literally the most horrible shit you can find. Go outside more, follow a basic workout routine (not a fat jab, everyone should exercise), spend more time listening to music and meditating. Create at least one good habit starting today so that you can have something good to see in the world, because when you can prove to yourself that you can change and be a better version of yourself you will recognize that power in everyone else too.
