As much as Westerners and Americans love to hate on China, the Chinese empire was around long before America and it will remain long after America is gone. In fact, it was around long before "Western civilization" in general.

Thank you! Always great to meet fans!

So people flee socialist countries to... come enjoy socialism?

Phoebe Ophie

Yeah man, that was totally edgy and cool what you just said.

From each according to his ability to each according to his need

Dude, as someone who habbitually writes in a long winded way and has posted screeds like this in comment sections in the past, I can tell you with confidence that shit has never convinced anyone of anything.

Kevin Sorbos or whatever his name is looks like a Ken Doll from the 70s that has been left in an old chevy since then and it rotted away from sun and rain, small rodents made him a breeding ground in his hollowed out belly. You can see worms and maggots moving behind those dead eyes.

About 1:41, you basically sand the lyrics to Alice Cooper's 'Lost In America'. lol This country does have more opportunity than others. Collectivist Countries are slave nations. That's why Global Capitalists put their factories there. There are more Collectivist (Socialist/Communist... whatever) than there are Free Market countries. The true power lies in the Consumer. If people keep buying off Amazon, don't complain about the power of Amazon. If people keep buying products from stores that treat employees like trash, or coffee from coffee shops that treat people like trash, stop. People abdicate their responsibilities thus they want a large Gov. and the State to take over and regulate things. It didn't work in any country in Europe in the 19th century or up to now or before; people had no incentive to compete or care or strive for anything since the Gov. (public taxes) was paying for their rations and life styles anyway. The systems always degenerated and led to decadence. There are a lot of modern day examples like Cuba. I myself, don't want a rations card or for the Gov. to regulate life. That's dangerous. People are becoming lazy and they do not boycott or place their money where it MATTERS and has positive effect (or effects change). And people do not start independent media platforms or speak enough. It's easier to just say everything's fucked up and bitch about everything and do nothing or don't apply your mind on a real solution. Free Market is a good thing. This country innovated most everything we use now for the better, because people had the freedom to invent things and work hard and make something of their lives/themselves. Collectivist Utopias are an old trope used by nefarious people to swell Government. Either you're the Daddy, or the State is the Daddy. And this country has a ton of socialist policies already. We pay taxes to support them. People flee here from hardcore Collectivist countries because they want to take advantage of A: our freedoms and B: our socialism that acts as Life Support to millions of people. You cannot have full Collectivism where it's Hitler's version, Stalin's, Mao's, Cuba's, or 19th Century France's version that doesn't bankrupt a country and create lazy slobs everywhere with no incentive to give half a fuck about anything they're doing because everything's subsidized. And every penny in the Treasury has to come from somewhere... namely slobs that work. Sadly, I work had in a job that doesn't pay well... being in Education Support on the front lines we net less than $20k a year, full time, doing a hard job. Teachers make 4 to 5X more and Principles are getting up to $200K now and Superintendents are getting $300K. And they try to eliminate more essential jobs... the LOWER ones that are necessary. Same old story. But it's the lethargy of the people... no one is organizing and doing anything... they sit and watch TV or the internet and bitch and formulate opinions and jump sides. (And yes, not knowing facts, only smart people SIT ON THE FENCE. Everyone wants allies and hates you if you don't take sides immediately like a Moo Cow). In my opinion, we need more people creating more independent news outlets, more people Voting with their Dollar... responsibly... more people creating counsels so the power is dispersed better. And Leadership positions need to be less rewarding then they've become... because that's where a lot of the problem is. The ones at the tip-top with too much power allowed to pay themselves. But the people have to do something about it. Not wait for the Jackals to change their behavior... and keep hissing at them until they do because it's cathartic to idiots. I believe despite how we PUT any of this... we all want the same thing in the long run. And I agree with Paul that it is sad how jobs have gone away. But times do change. People need to mitigate those changes. It takes 1 person to start a trend or do something about it and if that trend feels necessary or popular others will follow. But it is all about individual responsibility and that's where it starts. Where you spend money and the decisions you make have ripple effects to greater ends. We don't ever consider it though. Looking for heroes with empty promises or visions of utopian futures has always gone bad and abdicating our personal power has always gone bad.

A lot of WW2 Vets got so used to death everywhere they would make jokes about guys they knew that just got shot through the head and killed. It's just what it was. It was where they were at and the situation. We could be gone at any point. And it wont matter anyway because we wont be here, anyway. It just is what it is. I died and came back 7 years ago when I was 33. (I'm literally a zombie...). Not sure if I willed myself back because of a girlfriend at the time, maybe... or it was Divine Intervention. That would be cool... but ya. Flowers live and die, but they're always here and will always be around. I believe Life is about Expression (of your soul) and absorption of all that is Life around you. It's about The Experience. To experience life in a physical world we need these physical forms, but it's all about Soul Expression and being apart of the greater whole. The big One. That's all I got. lol

Id rather look like tj and Paul then whatever Kevin sorbet is. Jesus Christ

When my mom was killed as a result of a car accident when I was just 22, I and a couple close friends made some morbid jokes about it, because we had made many jokes about each others moms up till that point already. Sometimes it felt like a line was crossed, but as history showed, the British handled trench warfare of WW1 the best, and it’s believed to be because they could make light of such horrific conditions. As for going without sleep, every 5-7 years I get this 3 days sequence of just not being able to sleep. It’s happened a few times now, and I hate it. I wish I could just NOT sleep at all, but since I do need it, my eyes go all bugged out by the third day, unable to focus on one thing at a time. It’s a wild feeling, not to mention your bodies inability to control your internal temperature and tingly sensation. It’s very uncomfortable.

If I didn't have a similar reaction to trauma in my own experience, I'd definitely be suspicious of the cop's attitude. But I was making jokes while watching my own home burn down with everything I owned inside because of some wild fires back in 2017. I was out in my car filming the whole thing, half the city of Santa Rosa was a swirling inferno of ash and embers and I'm laughing about how the cops will have a hard time mailing me a ticket I got a week prior. Trauma can really do some fucked up things to you

TeaWrecks

I'd agree with you guys about that cop if it were just a transcript. But why was he cackling like a hyena? I'm sick of this overcompensation to try and give the benefit of the doubt with everything to pretend that you're more measured or something. TJ's instinct was right. He just has too much respect for Paul. Go ahead and fall in line, TJ

DownrightSuperb

Can the next Highdeology just be Paul reading poems pls?

Jarl Sloof

I love you TJ!

Garrett Bay

Paul you can’t endorse joe Biden and then claim to be radically anti establishment. This is logically inconsistent
