Because to me, Paul has always been crystal clear in his message that blind, unconditional support for Democrats being the extent of one’s political involvement is simply not effective, and that an alternative should be established whilst shifting focus more on to direct action from laborers.

In fact, Lenin believed that the failure of such a party was an inevitability that would convince workers of the futility of electoralism. Vaush takes this out of context by pretending that the Democratic party in the US would classify as a worker’s party and that Lenin would advocate voting for them in the interest of preventing Republicans from winning. In reality, Lenin’s position on electoral politics would probably lie much closer to Paul’s, if not further left; establish a strong labor movement and a worker’s party and vote for them over capitalists even if they don’t have a chance of winning in order to strengthen said movement. So yeah, this is just Vaush quote mining old dead Marxists to support his already preconceived conclusion. It’s nothing new for him.

It's so clear this little internet boy has never toiled away at a thankless job for years or been so broke he had sleep for dinner. It's clear he doesn't get it and he probably never will. Thinking Trump is more of a threat to democracy than what the democrats and republicans have allowed corporations to do for decades is honestly insane. The whole system is slowly suffocating us, but he's comfortable enough that he doesn't have to add that into his little vote-blue calculation.

What is being argued is whether or not this is really the case, but this was never actually explored. Instead, we get reasons over and over about what would be the case if that premise was true instead of a defense of the premise itself other than "you have a child's understandings of politics bro" If its so obvious why there are only two choices, then you should be able to easily give it a proper defense.

He is advocating being more picky with your vote and not just assuming only two options are possible, because that assumption fuels the continuation of this state of affairs 2) Both Vaush and Paul think voting is not only not the only thing you can do in politics, but advocate for fighting outside of electorialism to achieve their ends and think this is whats most important. If you're able to pay attention to what they are saying, you would have seen this is the case, but never came to the forefront because Vaush was too busy being a condescending prick, TJ jumped in a lot, and Paul, understandably, got salty at being called a fucking child.

It seems people interpret the lived experience argument as though it's one person's anecdote and observation of trends throughout their lifetime being used as a conversation/debate trump card. I think anyone with a working class family background, even outside of the US, can identify with some of the things Paul has shared about his life. I can look at myself and people around me (friends who are several years my junior) and see they are not where their parents were financially at the same age.

I lost like 3 years of my life because I thought a tumor was growing in my throat and was excessively depressed. The Xanax the doctor prescribed to me ended up "fixing" my anxiety because the sensation of something being caught in my throat went away on it. I still got addicted for 8 months but I'm glad my health anxiety isn't super delusional frog in chest man level bad.
