In the United States, Socialism has long been relegated to the fringe. Really the liberals are never going to do anything you want. I'm more inclined to support the DSA, for obvious reasons. Again, I feel like this has the same conflict as with Paul and Vaush's confrontation back in December. You either vote for and support the liberals, who you don't really like anything about, or you are relegated to obscurity. Face the fucking abyss. I want to believe some better thing is possible but can't help think that it's opining for an America that won't happen without massive, unlikely, unforseeable changes. It's that ideal Paul still has blood for that Vaush has thrown out backing the status quo and poo pooing the largest organization that, one would think, he'd align most with. Why not just have an internal critique of the DSA? Vaush thinks they are inaffective. What's his prescriptions to improve the DSA? Where's the constructive criticism? He should still stream or whatever but without a cogent response to this he'll just limp along with his audience and run them up an inescapeable wall. Why isn't he inclined to improve existing leftist infrastructure? Too pedestrian, apparently.
