The evolution of 2d is luckily being seen in some 3d animation these days. Spiderverse was amazing, and the League show, Arcane...against all reason and fairness.... is incredible. So, all the ppl interested in really groundbreaking and beautiful 2d animation and the spirit of 2d animation are still out there, they're just at a bunch of other places besides Disney.

The writer/director/producer was one of the lead animators at Disney before the collapse of 2d, he was lead animator on Hades and Frollo, for instance, so, a badass.
