Since her attempts to siege his ship's wares wound up with it sinking along with all the cargo and crew, she figures she may as well hold him for ransom for SOME payout. Still, she feels pretty bad about it, so paying him back for killing his whole ship is the least she could do. At least his time aboard her vessel won't be TOO bad... he hopes.
