Leah Mitchell lived with her older sister, Sarah Mitchell, following the loss of their parents, a Myrefall junior detective and her senior by five years.

Growing increasingly concerned for Leah's safety, Sarah urged her to relocate to a different institution, away from the campus and potential danger, given that Leah matched the killer's criteria. Leah agreed to the idea and started to search for an alternative college while continuing her studies.

The two siblings decided to go hiking on the weekend for a healing session, the activity they used to do since kids to destress. However, fate dealt a cruel hand, for Leah's lifeless body was discovered a night before their intended journey.
