Hello, everyone!
It's been a while, and I hope you're all doing well wherever you are :)
My main struggle continues to be with my health. I've reached a point where I hesitate to visit the ER, even when feeling unwell. Every time I go, I end up either staying for a couple of days or undergoing more examinations, both of which are costly—and I haven't yet recovered from the bills accumulated over the past two years. It's frustrating when the government-issued health provider fails to provide decent treatment, while using private health insurance is tricky because you must understand which conditions are covered and which are not, and certain conditions may lead to claim denials.
As a result, I've been paying most of my medical bills out of pocket—even taking out loans when I had no choice and the insurance company wouldn't budge. The most infuriating aspect is that despite all of this, I still don't know what's going on with my body. One thing is certain: I'm prone to infections, but every immunology test I take must be followed up with other tests and procedures, which is exhausting, time-consuming, and expensive. But I'm hanging in there! :')
I've also decided to quit my job next April and move in with my parents for a while. My main income for the time being will be from commissions and Fanbox. With more free time, I'm looking forward to getting back on schedules :)
Even though I'll be leaving my current job soon, I'm cherishing the relatively low-stress last weeks. Being able to sleep through the night without anxiety over deadlines or revisions has been very liberating. I'm scared but happy at the same time.
My main priority right now is taking care of myself through healthy habits like proper diet, exercise, and enough sleep. Once I've had a chance to recharge, I'll find another job that's relatively less stresful than what I had before.
Trivial facts!
Did you know that rubies and sapphires, despite their distinct colors, are actually the same type of gemstone? These gems belong to the mineral species known as corundum. So... could character Ruby and Sapphire also be two sides of the same coin? We'll see :9
Speaking of characters, Jade is also the toughest gemstone! I don't know why I include this, hahahah. I just think it's pretty cute.
On a different note, I've been contemplating switching up my username to something a bit more unique. However, after years of using this name, I decided to stick with it. Afterall, I'm afraid long-time followers would get confused if I ever change it :'p
So I just wrapped up the Myrefall Series (finally!), and I'm already feeling super inspired for a new story. I've got all these ideas swirling around in my head, and I've even started doodling out some concepts. However, I'll press pause on diving into this new series for now.
First, I must focus on bringing my other ongoing series to their conclusions. Once those final chapters are done, then I'll embark on this new voyage~
What I begin must end :'p
And for anyone else out there struggling through a tough time, hang in there! While I can't promise you anything, just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and hope for brighter days.
I can't say thanks enough for your amazing, ongoing support. You've hung in there with me through the ups and downs, and I'm so grateful. Your patience and generosity make the tough times more bearable. I'll check in again soon! Until then, please take care! ^^
