OH MY LORDDDD... this was the BEST episode of the season so far!! chaotic as hell, so much drama, so much content with all the relationships, character development, we got some reveals/conclusions that i've been waiting for for what feels like AGESSS. (*cough* nadia/omar/malick/ander *cough* rebe/samu *cough*) as exciting as it all is, i'm obviously feeling horrible for so many of my favs :((( and on top of all of that, i'm just even more confused with who the killer might be 🤡 so i guess we'll see!! i want all your opinions on this ep ASAP 😭

*EARLY* (FULL/UNCUT) Elite 3x05 REACTION - "Ander"

Comments

Well I think that's the way Omar saw it, as Ander pushing him away as usual. That's why Omar asks Malik "do you want me" because he felt Ander doesn't want him

Alex

Ander fell for Omar. Omar didn't wanted it at that time. Ander kept pushing until he got what he wanted, Omar was with him in a relationship at the cost of losing his entire family. And then season two rolls in...And now Ander doesn't want Omar because now he is "femenine" and not the same Onar he fell for...and not only that, he cheats on him with Polo. And Omar of course forgave him. Really, I feel like the only "reedeming" quality or "excuse" Ander has now is his cancer and even then...it doesn't come from personal growth but from destiny's (or writers) wishes...

but he wasn’t. not really. he wasn’t pushing him away as usual, he was just trying to give him a physical pass. i wouldn’t put those on the same level. and yet omar went along with it literally right after he left. why even shut it down? it made no sense.

Lisa

But comparing their situation is not fair in my opinion. Besides, looking from Ander’s perspective: he fell for Omar, coming out for him, tries to help him, got push away by Omar several times... i think Ander is the one being “punished” because Omar is not capable of standing for himself or dealing with it...

The reason Omar shut it down was because Ander was pushing him away as usual

Alex

I've also had some experiences with terminal patients, including my mother and while they were often snappy and aggresive, not always and never with just one person. But let's talk about season 1. Omar was selling drugs because he wanted to raise money and escape his family's shitty situation. Ander didn't wanted to keep playing golf because he didn't liked it. Omar's parents didn't accepted his sexuality, Ander's parents did. Omar toñd Ander he didn't wanted to see him again several times, Ander looked for him, bought drugs, got high, in a fight, outed Omar to his mother and said mother outed Omar to his family...

ander’s suggestion to omar actually came from his conversation with polo. when polo tells him about caye and valerio he says “it’s not exactly conventional but who cares about being normal when you can be happy” and that’s what ander tells omar when he brings it up. he knows that omar has needs that he can’t fulfill and he doesn’t want him to be miserable when he can find that release elsewhere. my issue though comes from omar shutting it down to him, ander being like “okay forget it” and then omar doing it anyways after he left. it just left a bad taste in my mouth. if he had just agreed with ander and taken him up on his offer i wouldn’t be so annoyed about it. also it being with his sister’s boyfriend doesn’t help. the blackout scene was amazing! one of the funniest reveal scenes ever. i was cackling. kudos to rebe for punching samuel. i may have watched that quite a few times. the valerio/polo/caye scenes in this episode were so adorable. i really do love them as a trio. it sucks knowing how things end up for them in the future because it just makes it all bittersweet. that final shot of the 3 boys together again always makes me emotional. they will always love each other despite everything. the way guzman put aside his feelings about polo to be there for ander. i love them so much. i’m glad you’re finally loving lu! this is so her season, there’s so much growth from her. she’s just the best and the lu/nadia friendship means so much to me.

Lisa

Well Calzoncit, we’re all allowed to an opinion and i respect yours of course. I don’t agree though 😰 For my experience with terminal pacients they tend to be mean/ pay their frustration/ be angry.... with the people they love the most, precisely because at the end they know they will be more understanding, supporting.... Omar fail historically at that. But i never saw Ander as abusive, i think Omar has always being selfish and childish. I always understand Ander’s behaviour since season 1.

And now that I think about it, I don't like ANY relationship in this show lol, not even Guzman and Nadia. All of the characters are egotistic and shitty in their own way. That is why this show is so entertainig, like Euphoria xD

I don't completelt agree. Ander choose to be abusive and shitty specifically with Omar. He wasn't like that with anyone else. And let's not forget he was emotionally abusive even before being sick. Being sick doesn't excuse his behaviour especially when directing your frustration to only one person. Omar was not a saint nor he deserved that treatment. It was not only the sex but also the lack of affection or appreciation. The best they could have done is end their relationship, though. I never really liked this ship, mostly because of Ander.

Omar is a huge piece of shit in my opinion. Nothing justifies his actions. In my world sex (being wanted) is a small part of being loved. Ander is dying and Omar is thinking about himself. Sorry Omar..... for me you are cancelled almost since season 1. Too egocentric
