Before internet In neighborhoods like this with zero out gay people it wasnβt unheard of for two people with a huge age gap to hook up because they were the only other gay people they knew. Iβve always found this to be gross but not abusive because it is pretty clear Ian is the more mature one in the relationship and there never was anything hinting that the relationship wasn't 100% consensual
