So this has probably been answered by many before, but a little bit of trivia about Thailand students.. (in regards to the nice dorms/condos that students live in on the shows). about 75% of High School and College Students are of Upper Middle Class and Wealthy. That is why most series (and in reality) many students appear affluent. Also, real estate is much more affordable in metro areas (not dirt cheap, but more affordable), however, cars are MUCH MORE expensive over there due to import taxes. So if someone is driving a C class or 300 series, ... they are actually driving a MUCH more expensive car than a C or 300 in the US (in regards to why they show characters WOWing over an E class or 500 series)..
