I really enjoyed this commentary particularly.
I think you're right that it's kinda wild that no one seems to notice what's going on between Nick and Charlie. I mean, especially after the sports day incident which was not exactly subtle. Obviously Imogen picked up on it, and a few of the rugby lads, but I'm not sure it's entirely realistic that no one else seems to have connected the dots. But I'll allow it, because I love this show so much. Because they are indeed together *all the time* and a lot of that time, Nick is pulling Charlie around by the hand (like on the tower stairs).
I wonder if part of what happened in terms of Tao's awkwardness in year 7 v now is his father's death? I think that would fit the timeline.
The eating thing -- they've been sprinkling stuff in since last season.
Also, I only noticed this on watching your video, but do we see a blurry Ben walk by in the background when the teachers are sitting down with Nick and Charlie in the Louvre cafe?
Anyway, really enjoy your commentaries and looking forward to you finishing out the season.

Thank you so much for this comment! I was actually just coming to say this. There’s more moments than that. Honestly, there’s almost something once in episode that pointed out. And episode seven Charlie doesn’t eat any popcorn. In episode 8 Charlie tells Tori he’ll eat something later . Charlie didn’t eat anything at the restaurant. I just wanna point something out that even I missed. In the first episode of season two Charlie bought Nick a chocolate bar when everybody was at the shop. I just thought it was a sweet gesture. But somebody with an eating disorder, pointed out that they used to buy food for their friends, all the time as presents. And that they actually saw that is a hint too. Thanks again!

About Charlie's eating disorder. Calling them "Easter Eggs" seems inappropriate, but go back to 1:1 with Charlie staring at the soggy, uneaten cereal. Then in a later episode, in the art room safe space, the lunchbox clicked open in shot, then clicked closed out of shot, with nothing having been eaten. The hints were so subtle, but there all the same.
