I think you’re misunderstanding ian a little? the reason he wants mickey to admit he’s gay is because he isn’t 100% convinced of it himself considering mickey can treat him pretty coldly and sleeps with women like angie regularly (obviously we know from an audience perspective that it’s due to his own internalised homophobia but ian is just confused and mickey obviously doesn’t talk about his sexuality). I think a lot of fans forget that ian is 16 in season 3 and is pretty emotionally immature and it makes sense he doesn’t immediately make the connection between mickey’s marriage and his assault. svetlana is a sex worker so it makes sense he might’ve assumed she was on birth control given her line of work. he knows mickey’s dad is evil but he’s an overly optimistic teenager who thinks they can just escape their problems and be open and free. I dunno I’ll just always feel for him given he’s a traumatised teenager who clings to the hope that his life will somehow get better even though everyone else thinks it’s stupid to be that optimistic. the heel turn on mandy lol I knew you’d be conflicted! Karen could be annoying af but she definitely didn’t deserve what happened to her

A few slaps to her face would've been a better alternative than being ran over to be honest. My thoughts on Mandy are just conflicting, I know about her household but running someone over is a bit much...idk, I'm just glad she knows how to treat someone she loves with care. It's hard to find that but too much of it can be dangerous. And it's the way that your reactions are encouraging me to watch shameless on my own 👀 Been loving your immersion to the shows, makes me more immersed too. So excited for the next reaction!

When there’s a problem, that’s how they fix things. Mickey didn’t blink when she told him, just reminded her to check the grill for hair. It’s how they were both raised so it’s all they know. 🙁 And I still like Mandy after this I’m just a little more sad for her (and maybe a little scared 😱 lol)… but she’s still a favorite. Def a big moment in the shift of Mandy's character and how you view her which is unfortunate honestly cause up til this point she's a favorite. Mickey and Ian this episode almost hurts more that 3×6 because it's Ian refusing to think clearly and realize it's not Micks choice and Micks internalized homophobia and fear of Ian being caught in Terry's cross hairs again leading him to hurt someone who actually cares about him and vice versa. Jimmy Steve & Fiona crumbling is just so sad to watch cause you know it's killing her to feel like she's losing him. He sucks though. Lol And Karen didn't deserve what she got...but like she sucks so much it's so hard to feel anything more than the oh shit factor. Oh and booooooo lip lol P.S. when the hooker propositions Jimmy Steve on the street asking for a rock...she means drugs lmao
