2025-09-02 04:24:07 +0000 UTCI thought "Listen" was a pretty well known song as it was written and song by Beyonce. The song is from 2006/07 - Telephone 2009 - so around the same time. The singer's name is (was) Charice Pempengco (4'9''), and does indeed have crazy pipes. They didn't even have her go 100 % (maybe 80 %) to not completely outshine everyone. Usually went shooting, the actors lip sync to the pre-recorded songs. Here they had Charice sing live to the rest of the cast to get their reactions and then edited in the pre-recorded song in post production. She is (was) much better live (she is now a he - Jake Zyrus).
